dixie, i'm absolutely loving this weather, too. i'm so glad i got out yesterday. those people should be bringing food! there are so many stories these days about caretaker burnout. people don't realize what a strain that is.
hippy, i've had those problems when a pharmacy changed manufacturers. they should have to notify you. glad it's worked out. oh, the veggie truck comes on thursday =) i just have to keep from overbuying.
good day all!
It's up to 15 degrees! I can't put off certain errands for another day. Tomorrow I have a 40 minute drive to the dentist so others things need to be done today. I've had a couple bad pain days and that really slows down my productivity...not that I'm all that productive to begin with!
Whatever this beautiful weather you two are talking about, I want some!!!
My youngest son took the Air Force oath last week and just found out that he leaves for basic on May 13th. This is very difficult for me to accept, but I'm trying to only show support. No wonder it's manifesting in pain...duh. He has a 4 year degree and tested very high so he had 8 pages of jobs he would qualify for. He got his first choice...military security.
Hugs and clucks...
Kim I also really feel that when friends or family come over that they should bring something to help your family being it food or something else that you need.
Maybe some of these visitors could offer to stay with your husband when they come over.
You could have some ME time other than running for a appointment or getting groceries etc.
Serenity, I am sending you a warm hug today!
Cherry, I must give you a catching up call.
I sure bet is was really hard to accept that your son will be gone soon!
However remember that he wants to better himself and as I know it is hard sometimes but you do begin to be so proud that he wants to make something good out of his life.
Today I do want to get out and get some groceries and visit my FIL.
We did not get to do anything fun yesterday.
We are expecting a huge snow storm tomorrow and Friday.
8 - 12 inches and very windy!
Is this terrible weather ever going to end??
Hugs for every hen in the coop today!
Warm winter hugs to you all.
Oh Dix, those visitors, maybe you should hand them a broom when they walk in.
One thing after another, Hippy. Time for a new pharmacy?
Big hugs ((((Serenity)))
No more snow Cindi!!
Ah Cherry, killer he is leaving, but Military is one of the better assignments. My son was talking the same thing years ago but lucky for me stayed in town and became an armed guard and joined the reserves (we are a different country mind you)
Things starting to look up for me. I have my third interview with this one company this friday so if I pass this test I will likely be hired. We already talked $$ and this friday it is for 3 hours to meet the boss and engineers that I will be working with and then spend an hour going over my job to make sure I am who I say I am.
AND, I have been dating this fellow that makes me smile when I think about him. Tonight we are going to the golfing range which is something unique because he is an awesome player but he is legally blind. He just needs someone to point him in the right direction for the far shots. He's a real kind gentle guy who helps me on and off with my coat and bought me flowers on the first date. His name is Scott and he is a Mediator for the Government and gives seminars on Conflict resolution. When I finally told him about the migraines he listened and asked intelligent questions and I was able to communicate what life was like and how I coped to make life as normal as possible. It was so refreshing to have someone not brush it off, or give stupid lame advise, but to say, 'if I can do anything to make it easier for you'.... .
Anyways, maybe my year of discontent is over.
Hugs abound.
cindi, it's so sweet that you're so close to you FIL. i hope he was warm and well. brrrr, good luck with that weather.
angela, high five on both fronts. will be thinking of you friday and wishing you the best. how wonderful that someone so nice has come into your life! i'm with dixie, it warms my heart. have fun tonight.
i did some returns and visited a new store in the area. a high-end grocery store, but i wanted to check it out. now i know where i can get a few organic or unusual things. i bought some fresh baked bread. it was just wonderful to get out while the weather is so mild. a breath of spring for a moment.
wishing all a lovely, low pain evening.
