I'm going to finish working on my altered book today. Dh has two cat scans...guess I will tag along and sit in the lobby for those. But that's all I have planned.
Got to get a picture of dh and I together. I've been trying to get this for over a month now with no luck. Maybe today.

Good morning.81 and climbing this afternoon. Joanne I hope you and Mario had a lovely wedding anniversary! Sounds like a very worthwhile treat :-)There was just the 4 of us at ours at Bromley registry office. Yeah if there's a huge fire all crew at fire stations in the area and outside the area if needed will be called in to help. Doug and I bought a walking treadmill. I did 45 minutes...
I think I need to come visit...it's currently -19 where I live. I'm having a rough time staying warm in my leaky old house. The weatherization guys never came to do all the things they promised so I'm burning too much oil and constantly feeding the wood stove. It's really taking a toll on me and it isn't even officially Winter!
I tried sleeping on a different pillow because mine was old and lumpy...bad decision! My neck is killing me and that makes everything else hurt, too.
I just realized that I should have started a new Piss and Moan thread for all my complaining... Sorry to start the day with such negativity. I'm going to work on my attitude, now.

yesterday was such a bummer for me - the continued dripping and not being able to find an atty to talk to about this situation, finding out that a friend in nyc died, then that my mother has some serious health issues that she hasn't told me about.
i'm just kinda numb today. don't know if i'll get anything done. lots of processing.

A good pillow makes such a difference with your neck and shoulder while sleeping.
Serenity, I am so sorry about the news of your Moms health issues. It is so hard when we have to deal with our own problems and then have a loved ones suffering too!!
I sure hope that your issues at your home get resolved soon.
I am doing much better since my ER visit yesterday!
Today I get my stitches out and pick up a couple of Christmas gifts.
Tonight we are going to my grand daughters concert… I hope that I am up to it by this evening!

Cherry, time for that piss and moan thread. I'm going to start a new painting today if I can numb this head of mine. I need to get through this month. I had a blind date yesterday and he was a nice fellow, a bit eager to be with me, but seems nice enough.
I'm hoping to get a call back for another job interview.

Been a long boring day here. Waiting on dh to cut me a dowel rod so I can attach my knobs to the book I am making. Then it won't take me long to finish it up. Here is the closest thing I can find on youtube to what I am doing for those that want to see:

Mone is not as dark , has a traveling theme, and flowers. I'll post a pic when I am finished.

It was the worst shopping day EVER!!! And it wasn't even crowded. I thought I would have some luck at Target with the list my daughter gave me for the Grands. Oh, and did I mention.......it was an updated list??
I must have walked a mile from one end of Target to the other.......at least 3 times with not that much luck. I don't even know what some of these things are. I even stopped people on the aisle asking what they were. I could not find anyone to help me. And all the time I was thinking how much I wish I had gone to KOHL'S because I had a coupon for 20% off. lol Suffice it to say.....I'm not done yet!!
I did buy extra wrapping paper, bows and name tags for the gifts. That was the smartest purchase I made all day.
Kim, I think the last time my dh and I had a really nice photo together was year's ago! I hope you can get one. And I hope your dh has good results from his two cat scans.
I loved that with the altered book thing. I had never heard of that before. What a great idea. Cannot wait to see the finished product. So proud of you that you are so talented.
Cherry, it is sooo cold there. I so hope those guys can get out there and weatherize your house so you don't have to use too much oil. It must get expensive. Oh and please start a new piss and moan, as I will join you for sure!! :-) My Daughter bought me the best pillow from BB and Beyond. Soft and comfy and it makes all the diffence in the world. You have to try it. Cannot believe the difference it made with sleep.
Seren, I am soo sorry about your friend in nyc dying. And also sorry about your Mom's health issues. How did you find out if she didn't tell you? I hope you feel better soon. Sounds like a very sad time for you.
