Oh, I love chickens! I don't know how you can be bored, Dixie. You sound like you have such a rich life. (and I'm not talking $value). What color did you paint the coup? How many chickens? Will yo sell the eggs?

I'm going to finish what I started a few weeks ago, hopefully. Tackle a few problems and lower that stack. Try not to take pain pills too soon this morning.

All he lacks finishing the chicken coop is the door, then I will paint it barn red. Right now I have about 12 chickens 2 or which are just babies. I want to get a straight run of babies soon and I will put some of the roosters in the freezer, keep some of the hens and then sell the rest in the spring. The hens tomorrow that I buy will be for egg layers and yes I plan on selling the eggs:) I'll have to or else be over run with eggs in the fridge!

fresh eggs are the one thing that market didn't have yesterday. i agree with enigma - i love the stories of your life "on the farm."

i really slept in today...i'm tired...can't figure out if i can get much done requiring movement...dixie, kinda the same housework...put away laundry that hung dry...already humid today...what a summer.

Oh yes...me too...cleaning day here too. Well I will attempt to clean! Thank God for my girls! They are such a huge help!

Our neighbor has the chickens and we get the eggs. No work for us, but great eggs.

Off to the store for last minute things of friends baby shower.
Then use the vegies in garden for a Frittata for to nights dinner.

i'm revising my list - sit, stand, go to bathroom, kitchen (fridge)...work on computer or jewelry - paying for yesterday in a big way from ankles to neck, but still spirit is good...
