Thanks for asking about my day with my father in law yesterday.
I took him to the Harley Davidson dealership that we spend a lot of time at because they have of course the store but also a old car museum and little zoo and very nice eating place.
He had a wonderful time and we spent over 3 hours together.
Last night was a rough one for me.... I had to deal with a migraine all night and other aches and pains so now I am very tired.
This morning I have already taken my new SUV to the dealership to get the remote car starter installed.
Boy I will sure love that in winter!!
Later I have an appointment with a Herbal Life dealer and talk about their weight loss program. Before I had to quit my job of 22 years I was quite slim and now since all of my surgeries and recuperating I have put on many pounds and now need to get back to my normal weight.
I too will be starting to tan again to get some color which always makes me feel better!
I send hugs to everyone today and hopefully we can all enjoy today and handle our pain the best that we can!!
Hugs
Cindi
I'm not in very good shape...physically or emotionally. By mistake at my last med check, my Dilaudid script was only refilled for 2 weeks because they didn't check to notice that the last month we were trying it out so it was filled in 2 parts. The nurse called to say it was ready for me to pick up, but my doc had changed and reduced my med per the report from the Rheumatologist I saw.!!!
The last thing my doc said to me was that we'd talk about it at my next appt. Instead, she blindsided me yesterday and made a drastic decision without allowing me a chance to even be a part of the discussion! My pain level shot through the roof when I saw the script and today, even though I still have enough of the old med for the day, is so out of control from anxiety.
I have 6 clients in the next 2 days and I have no idea how I'll be able to do them. I had wanted to talk to my doc about allowing my shrink to have time to start working with me on my reaction to the triggers that increase pain before changing meds. I also would have chosen the patch as the one to reduce very slowly if I had to because I don't like having to hide from the sun for fear of it releasing too quickly.
I'm just so upset...I don't know what will happen, but taking away my right to have a say in my own body is a huge trigger for me...she is so clueless.
I emailed my shrink and I'm sure he'll try to reach her to explain. I count on him as the only one in my healthcare team to really know me and be willing to fight for me.
I'm sorry...this should have been a separate thread or a journal entry.
dixie, i'd love to see the garden photos, too, and i'll be glad to share that cake - i'll never get through it. my sister gave me 2 planter stands yesterday so i don't have to bend as much. have to get a few more things going and figure out how to protect them in the high afternoon heat.
my dad looked pretty good yesterday, but he was so tired we didn't get much of a chat in. he called me by my baby nickname.
good day to all!
Kim, enjoy the tanning! Yep, I got a good nap yesterday, thanks.
Cindi, glad you enjoyed your day with FIL. Hope that migraine is gone.
Serenity, glad you had a good birthday.
Cherry, I hope you can get the meds all worked out with the doc. I'm afraid with all the new hoopla that we are in for more and more issues with getting meds. We have the right to be a part of the discussion when there is to be a meds change. That makes me angry, grrrr!
K and I toured a local horse ranch where she is going to horse camp this summer. Turns out she likes the smell of manure, who knew!? Of course she just wants to ride, but when faced with the reality of all the work that goes with it and usually first, she simply stated, "well, the horses are looking to you to care for them." Go kiddo! We will see if after a week of mucking stalls and hauling and cleaning tack and horses if she still feels the same. I have a feeling she will. I think maybe she has found her passion.
I am just doing some light chores and have some shopping to do.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Sending hugs, love, and comfort.

I'm sorry I don't have much to give today but here's some hugs & prayers
cindi, very sorry about the migraine. glad you had a good day with your dad though.
tendons, i hope that appt went well. what stress.
hugs to all!
I will not write much today, had oral surgery, and I should be in bed. My husband left for a second, and I took the opportunity to say hello and send my love to you all. I have to rest for a couple of days, and that to me is like torture. Lol.
God bless and hugs to you,
Sandy
