Morning Hens,
Hope you all woke to sunshine and birds singing to you this morning.
I didn't get my hair cut yesterday but have an apt. For this morning. My kids don't want me to get it cut at all.....practically begged me not to this morning. But I am so tired of it. It has become so fuzzy and I can't do anything with it. So now this morning I'm trying to decode whether to get it cut shoulder length or much much shorter. Decisions decisions. I have sent two pictures via email to my dh.....waiting on his opinion.....hopefully he will see them before I have to leave. Which ever one he chooses is the one I will go with I guess.
Dixie goes in for her beauty apt. Too. Shampoo, cut, nails and ears.....they always put cute bows in her ears and a scarf.....so cute.
Then I have to stop by and check on my MIL. At 2:00 son has a counseling apt.
So a busy day for me.
What's on your agenda?
Hugs and clucks

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

you do a full day ahead. i hope you enjoy your new hair style! good luck with everything.
i'm a little under the weather, so i'll get as much as i can done around here. the neverending cycle. got my letter for my apt renewal, so have to work on getting that paperwork together. fun fun!
good day to all!
Dix, a new Hair Do sounds exciting. You guys will get over it. A woman knows what a woman wants.
Hugs Serenity. Just get er done.
Hugs to all that come after me!
I had a real rough time at work this week so I'm going to stay alone today and work remotely. Honestly, today I really can't stand males. (notice I didn't use the word men) I just want to take the chest beating, pat on your back, know it all but don't, yes man boys club mentality and hose them all down. I did a lot of speaking up yesterday and I'm exhausted.
So glad to be amoungst women here
Serenity, I hope you start to feel better. Just knowing I have paperwork hanging over my head is enough to make me feel sick. I find that if I make a list of the things/phonecalls or whatever I've been procrastinating about, I get it done sooner so I can cross it off.
Kim....you can cut your hair in stages. I've encouraged this with clients who think they want a huge change and it's out of character for them. I offer to cut it to the first stage and if after a few days they still want it shorter, I recut at no charge. You might see if your hairstylist would do this for you. Damn...I wish I was the one giving you a new do!!!
I think I actually got enough sleep again last night. There was one break in the middle where I was up for an hour or so, but I went back to sleep so all is good. I've had a nice visit from a former co-worker, made a batch of cookies and even tolerated a little visit from my Parents. My door is swinging all the time!
I have to start packing all my hair equipment to go do a couple of home haircuts for a lovely old couple. They're the ones I always bring cookies to...hence the batch this morning.
It's another beautiful, sunny day. I have pinned my hair up into a casual updo so my neck won't get hot. Here's a tip for wearing your hair up. There's no such thing as too many bobby pins or too much hairspray!
Have a lovely day...cluck!
Just got done golfing. It was nice to see friends after a couple very hetic weeks.
Kim, know what ever you decide will look nice. A change is good nd I agree with cherry, stages.
Hope you feel better seren, as the day goes on.
I hardly "worked" this week Enig and it felt good, but like all good things it must come to an end.
Enjoy your friend Musk, hopeshe helps and you feel better.
We have a cowboy festival in town this weekend, so busy. Must be very careful with the children and pets as all the tourists drive way to fast on our back streets.
Love and hugs to all
Janie
Dixie, I am sure whatever you choose, it will feel good, i know if i asked DH what style, he would want me to get it cut real short!
Seren, i hope you feel better soon.
Enig, i hope your enjoying working from home and getting a break from that all male environment!
Cherry, i had my hair up today too, it felt nice having that breeze kiss my neck on my little walk.
Musk, i hope you enjoy you friend visiting, we call trailers caravans. I like caravans too, i have fond memories of caravan holidays as a child.
Janie, do you have such a thing as crazy golf in America, i love crazy golf!
So carrying on from cherries thread about parents and how they still seem to affect our lives despite the fact we are grown ups now, by 10:15 my dad had criticized twice! Youve got to laugh really, i am 47 next week, why does it bother me still and why do i give a f**k. I am woman living my own life. At least since therapy i cope better now and i dont care as much as i used too, bring it on dad... do your worst...!
Ive had a cleaning day and a washing day and ive been in the garden working on a little project with some terracotta pots.
hugs
cherry, so glad to hear you got enough sleep!
musk, hope you have a great visit with you friend...very nice that you have that arrangement.
janie, glad you got to play golf with friends.
empathy, hope you'll post a photo of your project. you have a lovely garden. glad you got past your dad's negativity.
i got parts of things done before back kicked in. rainy weekend, so there's more indoor days to continue. frustrating to pace so much, but so it is.
Sounds like busy days for all.
Cherry i am glad you got better sleep. It is always a plus. I wish you could do all our hair.
Dix I hope you like the hair cut you get. I like the idea of taking it on stages like Cherry said.
Janie good for you on getting out with the girls for golf.
Empathy I can't thin of anything better than working on a garden project. It is funny about what you said about your dad. My oldest son is soon to be 40 and I forget he is a man and has it it all under control. I work very hard at being positive with him even when I want to make suggestions. He is a forgiving sort when I slip up.
Musk I hope you can enjoy your friends visit. I like to do laundry also and when I visit my sister she calls me
Her laundry fairy.
Angela bravo for you to speak up and say what needs to be said. You are valuable to that company. Good for you to take a day away and work from home.
Me.....life is good. I have walked on the beach both mornings and even walked this evening. The sun came out just in time to give us a sunset. Went in to town for a few shoppes and picked some groceries. Did one load of laundry. I will post a couple of pictures here on our site.
Tomorrow and Saturday so much to choose from for entertainment. Just down the beach from us is a collegiate volleyball tournament. My husband will go to see Pepperdine play. On Saturday there is a wine festival or farmers market and movie in the park.
This is the most relaxing place. We have been many times but I always forget. I love shelling and the shells are good this year. The water is warmer than a heated pool but we have had red flag sine we have been here. Maybe tomorrow. So far I have just got my feet wet.
Goodnight hens and be well
