We're getting some pretty wild weather up here in the sticks. Everything melted yesterday as we broke temperature records and the rain turned my driveway from ice to mud!
Now...the temp has taken a nosedive, we had a little sleet and now the wind is practically shaking my old house. One of my windows sounds like it's humming when there's a big gust. Ah well...that's my entertainment for the night, I suppose.
I slept...too much last night. I get to the point of exhaustion and then have one of those nights. In the morning, my pain level is off the charts. It took most of the day for my new patch and my meds to start taking the edge off.
I feel like I haven't chatted with anyone for so long! I'm sorry I haven't even been able to send out hugs, but I'm in a rough spot. I think I'm still trying to digest my doctor telling me that she's never going to be able to manage my pain. It was one of those snarky appointments this week.
I'm hanging out with my critters, switching from the Weather Channel to NCIS. My body isn't going to allow me to sit much longer. Maybe one more long trip to the cellar to add wood to the fire and that's my limit.
Hugs, clucks and sweet dreams...

Sounds like a very worthwhile treat :-)There was just the 4 of us at ours at Bromley registry office. Yeah if there's a huge fire all crew at fire stations in the area and outside the area if needed will be called in to help. Doug and I bought a walking treadmill. I did 45 minutes...

Before I became sick, I stayed on top of landscaping things, in an effort to keep the yard (small) looking nice. During the last three years, I have done almost nothing outside and now, it looks pretty bad. I don't really feel well enough to even supervise the work, but with so many dead and dying plants, I just have to push through. I am dividing the project into three phases - with the whole project hopefully taking no more than 3 weeks.
Some plant removal happened for one large area today. I am now trying to lay out the re-planting plan. This weekend, my husband will take me to the nursery so that I can see some of the plants personally, before deciding on them definitively. Fortunately, I have someone who will purchase all of the plants, transport them, and get them in the ground.
There was a day when I could do most of this myself. That day is long gone. Now, all I can do is decide on the plants, plan the layout, and supervise. I know it will all look much better when it is done. I am thankful for that.
Cherry, Serenity, and Tendonshurt, I am sorry for all of the pain you are suffering. I wish all a peaceful nights sleep with less pain tomorrow. Tonight, I am going to try to lose myself in t.v. We are likely going to watch some very old reruns of Leave It To Beaver.
Hugs to all.
Cindy
We love you, Cherry.
Much love and clucks to you my dear Hen Friend.
