Geesh...I guess I hurried. That's 'morning'...not moring!

All my rushing and the old girl mixed up the day of her appt.....grrrrrrrrrr.

So...how is your day starting?

Grandson all day. Hot hot hot again, in the 100's.
I'll check back if I have energy, a three year old is hard work!

I'm going out to lunch with my friend, Kathy, today. We have the whole day to hang out! Yeah!!!!!! Today is starting off as a low pain day. Mucho gratitude. I hope everyone has a low pain day. (or no pain for that matter).

Ive got the weekly shopping to do, and a gp visit.

Morning hens. I slept til 9:30! Amazing that!

Couple of errands to run and and then I might go out to the fair for a little while and see some of the exhibits if my pain stays low.

still a bit of morning left...was up before 5, so i've already had a nap and feel like another one! i guess i'm breathing easier since the inspection stress, but feeling the pent up tension.

it's cloudy and cooler here today. i'd like to cook now that i can do it in phases. a veggie lasagne. or indian dish with lentils. i just need more energy! i can't believe how completely tired i am today.

Today I'm going to do a very difficult thing. I'm going to convince my friend to put down her old horse. She has been struggling to do so all year and her beloved Toby has been getting worse and winter is coming. She let me know yesterday that she is ready but struggling. I realized that LIsa can;t do this alone so I'm going to push her gently and help her make that horrible call to the vet. God, how horrible this must be for her. I couldn't sleep last night.

I am dragging in at 4PM and could wait for the good in my day.

Thinking about how to recreate a crouton served in our greek salad at the hotel. I was told the
chef used ciabatta bread dipped in balsamic vinegar and then lightly deepfried. The croutons
were larger than you would expect.

Any chefs out there?

Sounds delicious, but wouldn't that be adding a whole lot of fat? Or am I naive about croutons.

I didn't know you could lightly deep fry anything.

I agree, Enigma, didn't know you could lightly deep fry anything. But maybe they meant just a bit of oil in the pan and browned. I do that with okra all the time.

When I am making croutons I usually bake them in the oven.

Well, my first agenda for the day was to get DH out of the house. :-) We forgot that he had a Dr's appointment so he was not able to leave for the ranch as soon as he/I would have wanted.

I am so worried about the horses that we brought back there as one is going to foal soon. I wish he could make up his mind whether or not to keep them here instead of continually bring them back to the ranch.

hi hens! i'm guessing we're carrying over from thursday...had to rush out for dr appt first thing, got Rx filled and made it home...it's not super hot, but it's 90% humidity. i got there in plenty of time, so i had a coffee at Mc D's, then got called in for "weights and measurements." i registered a temp...i feel fine now, then remembered i'd just had the coffee...too hot.

i agree with carly on the croutons - spray or splash a little OO and bake. i sprinkle garlic powder on mine.

no nasty letters from mgmt so far, so i'm just hoping for the best. may sit out on balcony and plant some fall flowers...leaving it open and easy.
