The blanket sounds nice. I would like to see a picture. OMG, 6 weeks already. My sons girlfriend wants christmas at my place and she wants to help, and I always avoid it but I think I need to pull it together this time. I just spent time with my sister and her husband is dying of cancer and she is going through hell, so I need to be the one to offer this. My mother is miserable as always so I have to be the buffer. I can do this, I keep telling myself.
I got an interview for my art work and the show coming up in May. I'm very happy with the interview and when it is online I'll let you know.
I also got cleared from the Endo that I can go diving again so I'll be doing that first week of December. Deep diving which scares me a bit.
Love to you all
Dixie I agree with Angela on explaining. I sure know at this point in my life it would be difficult to care for grandchild miss A's age. We always do far more than our body wants from us but after a time the body just say's Stop. Now is the time to enjoy the little bundle and that requires plenty of rest and shorter times with her.
Maybe only be a back up in an emergency or at least the every other day stay. Maybe mom will reconsider overnights until she is a little older. I am with you on cooler weather. Nice to cuddle up with a nice warm afagan.
Wonderful news Angela on your interview and upcoming art show. Looking forward to reading it.
You will be lovely to host Christmas at your home considering how Thanksgiving went. Great hopes that the vacation in December will be zen and all will roll in place. I am thinking special brownies if all family members tolerate chocolate. jk.....or am I? Truly sorry to hear the cancer is moving along with your bil.
Good for the clearance to do the dive in December. Where will you go? I do understand the bit of scare as your journal is still fresh with me. If you continue to feel uneasy once you get to location you might give it a miss. You will know when the time comes. I do believe you get the adrenaline rush with the club and dancing but of course once you have visited the bottom of the ocean it beckons .
Preparing for our little guy's birthday party this weekend. Hayride, roasting hotdogs and marshmallows for s'mores, and jumping on the trampoline. He wants the same Baskin Robbins Icecream cake his sister had last month. Yikes!!! Hope they have it. Just found out tonight. Funny thing is he was the only one who liked it.
Hoping for a small one and then another flavor for choices.
My crisis for the day was loosing my contacts on iPhone. Yes I tried to make a call and I had no numbers.
Definitely freaked. F. was going to do a back up and then found I had hit a button that hid my contacts. Who knew I was a magician. Before doing this he called our cell phone provider and during conversation the rep mentioned we weren't getting close to using our data package so he reduced it. Result is a $30 monthly savings. Nice that I pushed a button. I am finding Apple products a bit touchy these days. Seems I always have something on my screen that I don't know where it came from or why it is there. Phone and iPad. A big issue with new iPad. Siri wants to talk when I have no questions. She just seems to pop up. I think I am going to turn her off. She isn't as touchy on my phone.
Sweet dreams hens

Typing takes a long time with one hand but have plenty time to check in!
Kim, Yes it is so hard to believe that the holidays are almost here!
I bought some gifts before my surgery and doing a lot of online shopping now.
I do understand the babysitting issue.
I used to watch my two granddaughters 2 days a week before they started going to school and summer but I had to tell my daughter that it was getting to be too much.
Now I have been going there one day a week in summer and then go and be there when they get off the school bus once a week too.
I so enjoyed spending the time with them but it also was getting too hard.
Angela, I am so sorry that your sister and BIL are going through all of this.
My heart goes out to your family.
Best wishes with your interview and how exciting with the show in May!
Linda, I hope that you all have a great time at the birthday party.
I love my granddaughters parties!
It is always a hassle when things get screwed up on your phone but this time it sure worked out for the best and you got on a better plan.
You gotta love that!
I am hanging in there with my hand!
I got my stitches out Mon and have a cast now.
I will have that on for 4 to 6 weeks.
So terribly painful sometimes but I knew that before we started.
Tomorrow will be my first day out after almost 21/2 weeks.
We have an annual party with dinner and music with our Harley Owners Group.
Hopefully we can stay to listen to the band for awhile.
It will all depend on pain level.
HUGs and have a good weekend everyone!!
