Morning Hens,
Well it is official, I have decided I am not going to put up a Christmas tree this year. I just don't have the energy to mess with it. I don't want to go out to the freezing box and w restless through all the boxes for stuff....nope, no tree this year. Since I have been on this Topomax I keep dreaming of what next year will be like....I'll be full of energy ...baking, putting up a big tree...just doing all kinds of fun things cause I will feel so much better. I have such high hopes for this Topomax! Yesterday I went with only two pain pills where I normally have been taking 4! That's exciting! And he said he would increase it if we thought we needed to. He has always been a really good dr. To me....working with me, trying things to see if they work. So thankful to have a good one that's not to high on his horse to listen to what his patient has to say. So next year at this time I plan on being a different person!
I also saw a really cute Christmas tree made out of cloth yo yo's but that too would require me to go out to the cold storage box and hunt for scraps of material and I don't think I better in this 16° weather we are having this morning. But it was so cute! Guess I'll have to find something else to get into.
No plans, might go to the library and see if they have any magazines that have been donated.

Kim I heard about a really unique idea for a tree. Use a step ladder and put something like a bow on the top step and wrap lights all around and put ornaments on each of the steps… just hope that your husband doesn't need the ladder lol.
I had a good day yesterday.. spent some time with my old work girlfriends, it was so nice to catch up but I was hurting and the one girl that I worked wit noticed right away… boy sometimes you sure can't hide pain!
In the evening Curt and I took my youngest son from NC out to dinner… I love him so much … just did not want to stop hugging. We will see him in Charlotte in Jan so Curt says "honey it will be ok" as we walk to the truck with tears in my eyes.
Today my FIL is coming over to spend time in the warm house… his old house is really old and cold and he enjoys coming over here. Also Christmas cards Must get done today!!!
I hope that you all have a peaceful day and have some happy times which could be as simple as genuine smile that lasts longer then normal!!

kim, i'm with you on no tree. my ex kept my ornaments, but that's that. i'm in a tiny place. barely enough energy to get the regular things done. i used to make garlands of felt hearts and evergreens and sting together with yarn or sewing floss. they were really cute and didn't take up too much space. also getting on the ladder is a hazard. i've seen a small one made with magazine pages since you have extra. myabe on thrifty fun.com
so glad you have such a great dr. they're few and far between it seems. i'm glad he's so open to listening to you.
cindi, i'm so glad you had a good time with your friends and a good evening with your son! i hope you have a great day with FIL. good luck with the Christmas cards. there always seems to be someone sensitive enough to see the pain and bated breath that comes with it. hope your day goes well.
my day is just the regular. was up in the middle of the night again, but got back to sleep eventually. i hae a bunch of meyers lemons from my cousin in FL to juice and cut up. i'll freeze some, but i make lemon water daily. these babies are juicy. i wish i had an old fashioned juicer.

Kim...screw the tree if it's too much work! I opted for a tabletop size with the lights already attached, picked out my favorite small ornaments... Mostly angels cuz I need them....it's all I need and the boys can't make it their own because it's not on the floor!
Cindi...I'm glad you had a little time with your Son, but I understand how hard it must be to let go. I'm afraid I'm going to be dealing with that soon. My baby is joining the Air Force and it's making me frantic just thinking about it.
Serenity...now that you know my peanut butter trick calms a tickle, I need to come up with something for sleep. My Mother made me drink hot milk when I was a kid...ewwww.
It's really cold here so I have another excuse to stay in! Tomorrow I have a doc appointment in the morning so I'll have to brave the weather...supposed to be the start of a good sized snow storm! I keep reminding myself that I have studded tires, but it's the nuts on the road who worry me! I'm not one of them!

What do you mean by an old fashioned juicer? Are you talking about one of those bowl shaped ones you twist your lemon by hand onto it?

I made it to town...accomplished nothing. Got some yogurt....that was it. O got some terrible roast beef. Wish I could take it back. It tastes raw. Just does not taste good.
Made a Christmas flower to decorate a package with. Decorated a Christmas bag....that was for a contest. But actually did nothing productive today and will not do anything productive tomorrow either because I am going to Jackson with my mom.
