So understandable after this weeks shock. Big hugs and be kind to yourselves as you navigate through this new challenge.
Yesterday I was so horribly depressed again and last night I went to a new meditation class. It put new positive invigor within myself and on the way home I got this urge to visit the new library on a whim. I found the parkade and this big young man of east indian descent kept the door open for me. It turned out he didn't know where he was going either and we had to find the library through the mall so we talked the whole way and both of us were looking for work. I knew of half a dozen places that weren't advertising that he could apply for so we exchanged information and I sent him the links and told him what I was looking for should he happen upon it. In the end I was feeling so much more hopeful because I felt like I stepped forward and there was a very nice unexpected interaction that boosted my spirits.
So, today, the first time in weeks, I actually feel happy about being alive. I have a book from the library that I had to grab because they were closing and it is very compelling. There are errands that I want to do and I today I'm feeling okay.
Hugs to you all.
It sounds like you're taking good care of your man. Taking care of others is especially difficult when you have your own pain to endure. I'm glad to hear you say that the house cleaning can wait...first time I've ever heard that come out of your mouth!
Angela...I've been worried about you. It sounds like your meditation class and encounter with another job hunter was a positive thing! Keep your chin up...it's gotta get better.
I'm doing OK. I brought some soup and cornbread to my Daughter-in-law. She's got a bad cold, but only stayed home from the office for one day. She was very pleased with my lunch delivery.
I had the least amount of neck and shoulder pain when I got up than I've had in a long time. I've used it enough to get it hurting, of course. It was 6 weeks ago yesterday that I had shoulder surgery so I've come a long way.
Hugs and clucks...
Angela sounds the library trip was good. Hope that connection you made will be good for future.
Cherry progress good news.
Saw Ortho yesterday and she said I am out of woods. 4 more weeks in my removable hard cast and then some PT. No surgery. I will take that.
