Ok...one last request is being filled. Geesh, Jan...you're high maintenance today! This was my Grandmother's recipe and she'd be 112 now. I'm guessing this recipe has been in our family for a long time.

Hot Fudge Sauce or Frosting

1 cup sugar
1/4 stick butter
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup milk
pinch salt and splash of vanilla

Cook 1 minute for hot fudge sauce or 2 minutes for frosting

Always have the sink ready with very cold water and immediately set the pan in it to stop the cooking. Keep stirring just until the pan has cooled enough to completely stop further cooking.

Have your ice cream ready for the best sauce ever. For frosting, pour over a completely cooled sheetcake and it will harden into fudge as it cools.
