Evening Hens,
Hope you have all had something good in your day to share. My mom came over and we went out to eat and had a nice visit.
I did lose another chicken though.:( Didn't even know that one was sick. Now I'm worried all over again about losing them all. Bonnie has stopped laying so that has me worried.
Tonight is football night. It's the only thing lately that is on tv worth watching if you ask me. And therefore the only distraction I have until bedtime.....my favorite time of the day. Sometimes I so wish I could sleep my life away. sorry....just a downer day for me. It's also my dad's birthday. He's gone now and I sure do miss him!
It was a pretty day though and I enjoyed getting out for a little bit.

I got through my cliets this morning...without puking on anybody. That's always a good thing. Ok, I suppose that's not what you have in mind when you ask about the good in my day.
I allowed myself a little rest this afternoon and amazingly...no one disturbed me! I have a huge bag of apples that my friend brought to me from her orchard so I just made an apple crisp! I haven't been motivated to cook or bake lately. All that peeling and slicing wan't much fun, but the finished product smells heavenly.
I'm going to bring some to my new tenant. With hi right side paralyzed, all he does is use the microwave so I think his will be a treat. He's really a dear.

dixie, sorry for your lose. i know you've tried so hard to keep them going.
my day was a surprise, but turned out nicely. i'd sent my mother an email to cancel our shopping trip today, but she woke me with a call and wanted to get together today. we hit my favorite thrift shop and i found some great things there including a bag of kitty toys which penny was very excited about. then the best $ store and more scores, esp a good herbal sleep aid. then my favorite grocery store for good coffee and greek yogurt at great prices, etc. she even remembered the TENS unit she doesn't use...everywhere we go she runs into people who know her, so i was really pushed to the limit, but it was nice to spend time with her and to get some things i really needed.
think i will get a really good night's sleep and hope all you sweet hens do also!!
My dear friend, Kathy, finally got disability. I am so happy for her. She needs and deserves it. My two kitties are in an attention seeking battle. It's hilarious.
I hope all sleep well tonight.
