I did a really stupid thing this morning. I climbed up into a very high barn loft on a wobbly painter ladder. my dh had the kids put all my chicken cages up there and I needed on to take to the barn with me. So I very shakily climbed it and got my cage tossed down. As I was turning to leave, I got stung by a wasp.
It really wasn't too bad, just a little sting. By the time I got in the house it was stinging a bit more so I washed it and out the door I went in a hurry to get to the sale.
The sale barn is a 20 min.. drive from my house. I had not given the wasp sting much more thought until I got there and went to get out of the car. MAN ALIVE! I was so stiff and sore I couldn't hardly move! And I've been that way every since. The wasp sting is the only thing that could have caused it!
But anyway, on to the Good in my day.......
I bought 4 hens that lay the chocolate covered eggs and I also got 4 quail hens. One has already layed an egg for me! I also bought a dozen of the chocolate eggs to hatch! I knew I had a hen at home that was setting and I was going to put a few under her. Well, to my pleasant surprise, when I got home, my other hen has decided to set, so I was able to put even more eggs under her!!! I'm so excited!!!!
I will post a picture some time of the dark colored eggs. But they can actually be darker than the ones I have. I spent to much money, but I'm just tickled pink!:)

my good - ok chat with my mother, got some fresh corn for dinner and some other goodies...and a very good chat with a DS friend. i wish my energy matched my mood! i can't keep that up. always want to do 10x more! but happy as i am!
I did sleep a little longer.....I talked to both kids today....
we did get to walmart....but the best was that hubby and I spent some time just talking.....trying to decide how we are going to deal with some debt, how we need to put a new roof and two sides of a fence up and while you are at it, we need new carpet.
He thinks he needs to try to work another year while the work is there...I hate that idea....but reality is what it is and if we don't make some of these major repairs before he quits working, they won't get made. So we would appreciate the prayers for wisdom of those who pray and the loving thoughts of those who have other ways of wishing one well....you guys know what I am trying to verbalize.
