cold and the resulting pain woke me before dawn. i'm so bundled up even with the heat on high.

i think i'll drag out the crock pot to make chicken chili. that's my hope since i've gone through the leftovers. hope the day gets better for us all.

More new snow here. The last hour I've been thinking of my ache away pill as this cold plus all the walking I am doing ( worse in snow as i am extra careful) has me stiff and achy. Long sentence I know!
Got Christmas stuff packed away so today is going to be a quite one I hope. Football game to watch at 2 but that about all.
Mad at hubby so I won't have to talk much, lol.

Update!

The young man who Flower hired to keep my tenant's walkway shoveled started shoveling for me without being asked! I heard the sound and went to investigate. I quickly went out to thank him and tell him I'd pay him and he said he didn't want to cause any financial struggle for me.

People aren't usually like this...are they? He's a strong, able bodied young guy whose mind is simple...thanks to continued beatings by his Father when he was a child. He's one of the people whom Flower (my friend/Naturopath) has taken under her wing.

I gave him $5 and asked that he just clear a path to the end of my driveway so that my client could get in. He did a lot more than that and gave me a cute business card to share in case I knew of anyone who needed help. He offers snow shoveling, wood stacking and lawn mowing! He also washes dishes at our local high school cafeteria and has held that job for a long time.

I think I just found the person I'll be calling when I can't rally a Son!

What a wonderful gift of kindness you received Cherry. Living in the south these things happen for us once in awhile.

i had a very bisey day yesterday and was up till 4:00 recouperating from all the fun so i didnt get up till 1:00 and was on couch dutie pritie much all day with a migrain cant have to much fun you have to pay for it .............well it was worth it i realy enjoyed my self and seeing my grandchildren ......................i hope to be good tomorow .................lucky girl cherry...........to have such a nice young man come and help out like that makes you feel good doesent it ................janiecf ..............nothing worse than when you have your driveway done and they come and fill in the end of the drive way ...............and well here eneway you cant use the snow blower because there are ofter rocks from the side of the road mixed in so out come the shovels ...........dont work to hard take your time ..............dixe ...maby you will have somemore energie tomorow have a good night.......serenity .........chicken chille sounds realy good..............i hope you all had a very good day and have a good sleep ........................god bless
