Kim>>>>sounds like they are having a great time AND staying out of your hair! Can I have a water gun too?
I am foggy headed and exhausted this morning, but I am not as bad off as I was expecting to be. We had a great trip this weekend. The march was great! It was so good to stand up for something I believe in. Met some great people and had a good time. The word is getting out about GMO's! I've been watching all the pics being posted from all over the world. Places like Paris and Sydney had over 10,000 people. Amazing. Those who are friends with me on FB can see my pics of Knoxville's march there.
A year ago I could not have done this trip. So just being able to go was a huge milestone. A car ride of over an hour would have killed me, let alone all the walking, standing, and spending hours in the hot sun. I held up really well. I was so exhausted when we got home last night and really expected to pay dearly for all this today. I'm tired and a little achey, but no real pain and way better than I expected.
I guess my strategy of eating healthy, exercising, plenty of water, and all my other lifestyle changes are paying off big time. I seem to have built up some stamina and strength. I'm sure it helped to that I saw my massage therapist for a trigger point session before we left. And in a few days I will reach my year anniversary of being medication free.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend. Sending hugs, love, and comfort.
Tonna
tonna, so glad you're not in pain after that march. hooray!
my cold has moved into my sinuses, but it's better. blech, these allergies.so glad i was able to make a good spring stew yesterday. now i can heat and eat healthy food. the weather is great, so i'll sit outside and get some vitamin D. not sure much else will be done since i was awake til the wee hours.
wishing all the best day possible!
Yay, Tonna! I hope I'll have good things to report if I make it to the other side of pain management.
Serenity...leftovers are a wonderful thing. I finally pulled it together long enough to throw a few things in a pot so I'll eat something other than crackers and yogurt for a few days. Have you tried one of those nettie pots for your sinuses? My Son refers to it as a nose kettle...it grosses me out to just think about it, but lots of people swear by them.
I was up the bigger part of the night. It's freezing here. I even dragged in all my plants for the night...it's still too cold and miserable to put them back out. My neck and right shoulder are back to hurting terrribly and I don't even know what to say about the nerve impingement down my left leg...besides OWWWWW.
Tomorrow will be the next big drop in pain meds and my Naturopath says it will be the worst of them. I'm going to color and cut my Sister's hair today so she'll be set for a busy social calendar next weekend. Today might be bad, but it's going to get a hell of a lot worse so I insisted she let me take care of her today. She does things to take care of me every day.
That's my only plan for the day...it's enough!
Hugs and clucks...
Water funs are the guns! Loved those and the slippy slide for the hot summer days.
Tonna-You are my hero with eating healthy etc. I should follow.
Serenity-My allergies went from horrendous in my sinuses with the use of a neti pot. Scared me at first. I used distilled water as tap water can lead to really bad things....
Cherry-So sorry about tomorrow and hope it is not the day of hell.
Today there is a scratch chocolate cake with my strawberry jam with the best ever chocolate frosting from for the feed at my oldest son and his family. Just love going over there as my DIL is my heart and their adult children a delight.
I hope and pray for some joy in the day.
Clucky Huggie,
Joanne
