I found what helped me through my lastest upheaval was going to the library and reading about people who have gone through similar situations. Although I may not totally relate to the author, I would find solace or insight into something that would help. If anything, it kept me from worrying. Or, I would find a book of a spiritual nature. A little faith goes a long way. Follow your gut instinct.
For me, the sun is shining and I took my doggies for a walk. My new dog started barking and suddenly dropped to the ground and looked dazed and wouldn't get up. She finally walked for a few minutes and then stopped and I had to carry her home. Have to watch her today.
My turkey dinner went wonderful last night now that Mr negative is gone from my life. I have never been 'single' and I must say, it is selfishly wonderful. I even dress different. The dinner was made the way "I" like it and it was much more flavorful. Head hurts today, but for some reason, that is okay.
Hope everyone is faring well.
Angela
enigma, so glad that your dinner turned out nicely. i love the sense of freedom of being single, too. things still pop into my mind at time that remind me of how much more relaxed i am. enjoy!
i ate some of my cooking from yesterday - roasted veggie spread on pita and later some roast and veggies. i also went to a health fair up the street which was nice and ended with a 5 minute massage. i wanted to stay at that station! time for a restful evening.
I didn't mean to go missing...no excuses.
Kim...did you find anyone to drive the truck for your hubby? Do you still sell your wonderful soap? I hope this struggle passes quickly and your life can get back to normal...whatever normal is. We're here for you, hun.
Angela...ahhhhh...freedom to be your authentic self.
Serenity...it sounds like a nice day. I'd love even five minutes of massage time!
I colored, cut and glossed my Sister's hair this morning without letting her see that my neck and shoulder were hurting like hell. She does so much for me that there's no way I'm going to let her look shabby!
Then I met two friends for lunch and we talked for a long time. It was the first time I've done anything with friends for a long time. Haven't amounted to more than a load of laundry since, though.
Hugs and clucks...
sounds like you had a really good day. glad you could do your sister's hair and have lunch with friends!
Also...box colors fade quickly. Good luck!
