Wow that describes my day. Why do people ask us how we are doing if they really don't want to hear the truth.

Oh boy do I hear you. I let out a scream on my drive home. Not sure who saw this crazy lady in a small yellow car, yelling her head off. Today I am totally resigned and indifferent to everything. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo to show my pain on my sleeve. I keep thinking of getting a deep gash open wound looking thing.

I just came out of a meeting and I sat there and said nothing even though I had simple answers to something everyone was making complicated. I have 8 years experience here and pioneered both MRP starts, but they all want to be the big shot know-it-alls so I figured let them have at it. I'm so sick and tired of fighting. I hurt and it gets me no where. I can't teach common sense or those that want to reinforce stupid. Does my indifference hurt anyone? No one noticed.

Dixe thats how I feel many times too!!
When asked how I am doing from family and friends I just say "I'm fine,"
I do tell some of them how I really am doing but I am sure that it is so hard for them to understand!
That is why it is so wonderful to be part of DS.... we all understand!!

Yes very true, and many I have found, really do not want to hear it, it is more like a formality.

thats why i joined ds it was just to hard to explain to people who just didnt get it and didnt nderstand what i was going through .....................and i got tired of always having to explain so now i just say i am good or fine ...............sometimes i dont even tell my husband give him a break .........for a while especualy when he wants to go traping that is a part of him he has been doing that since he was a teanager ..................i dont want him to mis out because of me .............................enigma ........there are just some people you just cant talk to they have no commonsence and you cant teach comonsence you eather have it or you dont that has been my experance ..........good luck at work.........................................god bless .everyone

The last few months when someone asked me that I actually told them the truth. Someone asked what my job was ( she was a very annoying attorney ) and I said trying to stay alive with my brain tumor. Her response was, " that's a job I wouldn't want to have".... it actually made the rest of us in the crochet group laugh.

My other answer is, " well, I still know my name and so this is a good day, "

Now, to my family I will tell the truth to an extent. My husband is in pain management and a therapist so he knows.
