...firing my doc. She is hell bent on making me suffer and detoxing me her own way. My Fentanyl patch is just taking the edge off enough so I can talk.

I really don't want to be in a room with this intimidating woman who has accused me of lying. Just the idea has me in a terrible state of anxiety. I wanted to start by reducing the patch because of the sweats I have along with the hot weather coming. It makes the med delivery very unpredictable. She took away BT meds instead...because she can.

I know it says on the box that you shouldn't cut the patches, but I've heard of people doing that. I have a few BT meds left, but I can't take them for fear of a pee test. I'd rather do this myself with what I have on hand than be under her control for another minute.

I can suffer on my own terms.

cherry, i agree. it's so hard to have your quality of life under the control of a non-feeling ass. i hope with all my heart you can get through this. it's so hard to change drs with all this drugs scare going on.

You could probably do a lot better job of weaning off your meds than your Dr. Is doing, but do you have enough meds to do it yourself. Why don't you go back in and talk to her face to face and see if you can reason with her?

I thought I had last time and then she completely changed her mind after I left. She's too unpredictable and I start to sweat just thinking about having to face her after she called me a liar.

I'm soliciting the help of a few people who can probably get me through this on my own. I never thought my life would become such a mess.

Oh dear Cherry I had no idea that your pain meds were messed up. If you have to wean off something and you are not getting good help from you doctor then drop kick her and find someone who truly cares. That's. my 2 cents worth of advice. You need good support, not someone who defames your good name and gives you anxiety as well. I say drop kick her to the moon and then find a decent soul to help you out.

Did you know that you can actually report her to the board of medical professionals for not providing detox assistance, for instants, Suboxone? This unconscionable and completely unprofessional. Remember to keep hydrated with more water then normal to protect the kidneys.

So sorry you are going through this. Your doctor sounds like a real bitch!

If insurance reason's don't keep you from changing doctors you should DEFINATELY do it. I would want to have someone who understands what you are going through and be a bit more........make that A LOT more sympathetic. You deserve the best care you can get - and I hope you get it - sooner than later.
