4 more days and my son will be here!!! I can't wait to see him, I have missed him so much. I talk to him almost every day but it's not the same:)
6 days til Christmas, are you ready??? I almost have all my shopping done. Might finish it up today. I am excited, I am doing christmas this year, but also scared I will be able to hold up....I get so tired and pain is a regular. My son wants me to cook so bad though so I will do my best....no, I WILL do it for him!:)
I've missed everyone. Sorry I am not around as much any more. Babysitting is really hard on me. I told my DIL that I could not do it everyday any more and after Christmas she was going to have to find someone to watch her at least a couple of days a week. Babysitting just leaves me totally whiped out at the end of the day. After dropping her off with her mom I come home and sleep til 8:00 or 8:30. Then I get up and spend a couple of hrs. With dh then back to bed.
We had a big scare last week. We were told my dh's cancer was back, both the thyroid and colon cancers. After a cat scan we were told they were wrong, the cat scan showed nothing for colon cancer. Yeah!!!! But he did have to take a radiation treatment for the thyroid cancer. We will not know how that did for 6 weeks.
That's it for me. All I ever do anymore is babysit, sometimes even on weekends. Lately two days a week I babysit from 6:00 til 10:00 at night! Those days are nearly impossible!!!!
What all do you want for Christmas this year? I just want my family to be super happy. I am looking forward to having everyone here at my house:)

i think i have all my shopping done. i still need to do a little baking and wrapping to do, but i made a big pot of chicken veggie soup yesterday and i'm pooped from all the chopping and stirring. i visited mother on friday and took her banana nut bread and roasted chicken and veggies i made. i get such joy from cooking and sharing it's worth the pain. dad isn't doing so well and we're trying to get in touch with some higher staff at the nursing home. i really feel for those who don't have involved families.

Kim a big scare for you and husband. I know you are counting the days until your soldier is home.
Did A's mom take a second job? 10 at night makes a very long day. Hope you can cut back at the first of the year.
Cindi how is the hand surgery coming along. I hope you are able to do your Christmas as you like.
