Oh i can't watch that either, or those shelter commercials, i cry every time.
I know, I so wish I could adopt them all. I'd have a dozen Chihauhas. I mean they are so SMALL, so why not. But that would be lacking common sense because each deserves the individual attention.
I will admit, when I meet a person that doesn't like pets, I do look at them sideways. Unless I discover there is a solid reason, like a phobia, or a cultural conditioning....its a real deal breaker for me in whether I will be comfortable with this person. My sister can't stand pets, never could and we grew up on a hobby farm kinda like yours, Dixie. (if you don't mind me calling it that). Hell, I even had racoons, a horse and a monkey at one time. And my sister is a complete opposite to me. She is very cold to people and will barter with a poor person. However, she has never harmed an animal.
I think I have a picture of my two idiots in my pictures. If not, I will post it. Not many pictures in my file so not hard to find. I'm going to revisit your pictures again, Kim

Sheesh, I assume too much, I think. I hear about your chickens and bunnies, cats and dogs, but looking at your pictures I see cows!. Maybe hobby farm was the wrong word. How many cows do you have?

Our little dog is a Jack Russell Terrier with a strong attitude and very protective, she loves everyone to death but hates other dogs for some reason, we adopted her from a home that had 2 boston terriers and wondering if they attacked or picked on her, then they had a baby girl so decided to give her to us, we've had her 3 yrs now, she will be 9 in May and still has alot of life in her, I hope she lives forever but that won't happen!!
Cruelty & abuse to animals is very horrific to watch on these shows, I'm usually tearing up or crying, not a good show for me but I watch to see that they adopt them out, makes me mad when they don't and put them down when they could help the pet!!
Hope all you ladies have a wonderful weekend!!
My kitty, now 14 years old, has been my constant companion since I became sick two years ago. I would be lost without her - especially when my husband is at work. She is a little demanding, wanting lots of attention and hating to be away from us. She has always been this way, but it has become more pronounced during the last two years. It saddens me that I cannot pet her as much as she would like (because of my hands). Fortunately, she likes to be sung to - we have our special songs that she loves to hear. She purrs and purrs when I sing to her.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading all your comments about your pets and animals, in general. So sorry, muskrattiger, about the huskies. That must have been very painful.
