i think judging by your clothes is a good way to go. the numbers don't really matter.
i worry about losing muscle. we naturally do as we age, so i'm trying to use my hand weights gently.
I'm trying to lose a few and I'm going the way of Joe Furhman, MD. The basis of it is to eat whole natural foods and the weight just falls off naturally. I need to anyways because processed foods are aggrivators for migraine and all the pills I take are killer for constipation, then with my Graves....well....I should be eating whole foods.
He has a few books out and is on the web. No diet to follow. Lots of good nutritional info.
I'm into the greek yogurt too. Tossing in a few raisins and flax seed.
Good luck, ladies
almost always have a batch of beans or lentils that can be used so many ways just changing the herbs you mix in...i keep a few fruits and veggies around to snack.
i love to read recipes online and mix them up...i don't have to feed a family though!
wishing everyone the best!
My favorite vegetable additions are chopped spinach, red pepper, grated carrot and brussels sprouts. The more color...the more vitamins!
Now that I'm alone, I seldom bother with such things.
Protein bar for breakfast, zucchini- artichokes-pasta for lunch. Pine nuts with lettuce for dinner. No dressing just pepper. Split a protein bar in half to cover 2 extra times taking meds.
Need to look for quick easy recipes online. No energy to cook al day like I used to. :(
I'll share if I find anything good!
Cold salads can be filling and refreshing. Missed making my grilled corn salad yesterday but will do it today.
It has blackeyed pes which has fiber. Instead yesterday I had a beet salad with calamata olives and feta cheese.
i'm in love with my immersion blender - just stick it in the pot and you have cream soups with no cream. they also have a chopper attachment which is a big help.
i bake as much as i can or use a crock pot. last night baked a sweet potato, 2 cobs of corn - a little canola spray and herbs in a foil pouch), a head of garlic, and a piece of fish...just had to get up a couple of times and i have enough for tonight. i can't give up triscuits and cheese as a snack :)
i snack on healthy nuts, too, very filling.
