Well I won't share my crock pot recipe....it wasn't very good. The ribs tasted , well, tasteless and dry. So scratch that recipe from the book! I'm trying three new recipes this week. I sure hope the other two turn out!
Looks like rain here but don't think we are really suppose to get any....until Thurs. and then we are suppose to get the tail end of Issac. They are predicting 30 mph winds here.
Had an ok day. Mom came over and I fixed french fries for lunch with cheese....simple and filling. No not good for you but delicious. I fixed those extra crispy OreIda fast food fries. Really liked them. I think they are new in the grocery.
Only got two eggs out of the hen house today. Don't understand why my hens aren't laying unless they are traumatized by that fox.
Anyway, how was ya'lls day?

it was clear and hot here today. wondering if Isaac will hit. i have to leave the windows open for penny over the weekend, so i hope nothing blows in.
laundry and leftovers here...now shower and bed. don't know how cherry lives on so little sleep.

All a bunch of nothing day other then I did a batch of tomatoes.
Off to read or veg, depending on my eyes.

Night to all and sweet dreams, or in my case sweat dreams, damn menopause..
My digestion is completely messed up, too. Damned meds, anyway. I ate some yogurt for a late lunch and it only stayed down about 2 minutes. I texted my Naturopath and she came over to talk about what's going on. She came back about an hour later with a tincture for me and gave me other instructions.
Following her instructions, I cooked some brown rice and sprinkled a little apple cider vinegar on it. I know...sounds gross, but if it settles things down, I'll eat it. It worked one other time when I had been vomiting.
During the evening, I fell into a drugged sleep and woke at 8:00. Back to sleep a couple hours later and then up by midnight. So...here it is...2:00 and I've been wide awake ever since.
It's finally raining...love the sound on my metal roof. We need it so badly....the ground, not the roof!
