I'm going to start Monday even though it is Sunday because I"m at the end of the time zone and some of you guys seem to be finished your day when I start mine.
I didn't blow up in the office on Saturday from whatever that smell was, but I did have a massive massive migraine by the end of the day. Likely the stress.
I was reading your Sunday report thread and even though there was some bitching, you guys really do have blessed lives with some wonderful people around you, (even with a few duds). I just felt the need to say this observation of mine, that even if you feel you have a lack, you also have gold.
Well, today, I have to finish what I didn't finish on Saturday, but it should be a short day at work. Then hopefully I can keep awake and the head behaves enough and I can go to the Casino to bring in the New Year.

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

I can watch the fireworks in London with the best view on the TV without the all the hassle!
Ok so i wont get the atmosphere of it, but at least i wont have the packed crowds to get through to get the train home again!
Plus you get to hear all the fireworks that get set off around the neighborhood at midnight.
I'm off to my charity shop this morning to do my bit.

After working on Saturday and Sunday, I don't have to to one head of hair today...well, mine doesn't count! I'm going to be spending a painful amount of time driving myself from one appt. to another...3 in all. So it's just going to feel like Monday to me...no celebrating here.
For some reason, I find this holiday to be the most depressing time . I've spent a few New Year's Eves alone (between relationships) and this will be one of those. I swore off men after the last one! Having made that decision, maybe I'll be able to handle it better than I have in the past.

My son wants to go skating till 1a.m. But I'm afraid he is going to be disapointed because I'm just not sitting up that late. In fact he will be lucky if I let him stay til 10:30.
I never have been one to celebrate The new year.
Pain is much better this morning. Praying it stays this way because I desperately need to do some house cleaning!

yes i do feel very blessed despite the "little" annoyances of life. i will make a gratitude list today. i will do the dreaded dishes. i forgot the traditional southern New Year's Day meal of blackeyed peas, greens & something else - for luck and money. i do have some but i just made that huge stew yesterday.
i had a polish friend who thoroughly cleaned her apt each NYE b/c the belief is to clear out the old and be ready for blessings in the new year. i'm not going THAT far! i'll be watching the celebrations on tv missing NYC...
I was daydreaming of going to a casino about an hour away and staying overnight to avoid drunk drivers..:-) :-) :-)
We're having rain that's likely to freeze now, though.
Not to mention I don't even feel up to getting ready to go..:-) :-)
So..I'll live vicariously through you..:-) :-) have fun..and win big..!!!
