Ho hum...I've been wide awake since 1:00. I finished my week of Prednisone yesterday so maybe this crazy schedule will stop!
When I requested giving Prednisone another try, my doc asked if I preferred the taper or the burst. I had no clue what she was talking about. I've always started at the highest amount and tapered as the week progressed. After she explained the difference, we decided to try it another way.
I've been taking 40 mg. a day for a week and now I'm stopping abruptly. Now that I've completed the week, I don't know quite what to expect today. Has anyone taken Prednisone this way?
I haven't slept very much since the first dose. Hopefully I don't feel like sleeping for a solid week to make up for the deprivation!

I've always tapered off of it too. Never heard of the 'burst' method. You'll have to let us know what you think in a couple of days.
