Ironicly...a women's lib song...with the words..
" yes...I'm wise.........but, it's wisdom borne of pain..."
"I am Woman, Hear me Roar" by Helen Reddy (1972)
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much
to go back an' pretend
'Cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down
there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again
Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (Strong)
I am invincible (Invincible)
I am woman
You can bend but never break me
'Cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul
Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (Strong)
I am invincible (Invincible)
I am woman
I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms
across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long, long way to go
Until I make my brother understand
Oh yes, I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can face anything
I am strong (Strong)
I am invincible (Invincible)
I am WOMAN

You likely heard about the passing of Robin Gibb. Long struggle with liver cancer. Only 62. :(
I really loved the Bee Gees. An incredible number of hit songs during the disco era, and even before/after.
Hope you got some sleep.
Hugs and prayers,
Cindy
My moment of fame, lol.
tendonshurt: Wow! Congrats on your acrobat routine. That must have been an awesome feeling to get a standing ovation at such a young age. It is good that you have a wonderful memory like that. I swam competively for 5 yrs and won many ribbons and medals. Those are some of the best memories of my childhood.
To Everyone else: thank you for your wishes for more sleep, however, I just don't get much of it these days. Ever since I went on pain medication back in 2003, my sleep pattern has been all messed up. I am up all night long 99% of the time. Every now and then, I will get so exhausted that I will finally crash for 8 hours. I guess it just goes along with the territory of dealing with chronic pain. One advantage of being up at night while my family is sleeping is that I get some "alone" time. I usually watch TV or play a video game to keep me busy.
Hope everyone is well today!
Gentle & Healing Hugs,
Carrie
