I've decided that I prefer the plain, old jelly beans that are sold at Easter time. I may have actually eaten my weight in them as long as they were available. Now that all my favorite holiday candies are off the shelves, I've been trying to detox from sugar.

Had a weak moment and bought some of the gourmet variety of the beans...buy one get one free so I had no choice. A bag for me and one for my Sister.

I should have just waited until next year instead of buying a bag that touts 31 flavors! They're tiny buggers so I tossed a small handful in my mouth, anticipating a burst of excitement from my deprived taste buds. Mistake! A combination of cotton candy, cinnamon, sour apple and java all mushed together, was not exactly a palatable mix.

So...I figured that if I ate them one at a time, I might find some pleasure in each of these non traditional flavors. I was enjoying about every other one until I found myself chewing on what tasted like a piece of bubble gum! I found myself needing to make a quick decision.....

Do I spit it out or take a chance that it won't require a week to digest? Some flavors are too confusing to my brain and should be banned, immediately. I think I should write to the company....

...or get a life!
