Evening Hens, how did your day go?

I'm in bed....not feeling too good. Watching foodnetwork channel.

Please remember to say a prayer for Janie's grandson.

So what's everyone doing tonight? Wish I was going with Cindi to the comedy show:) I could use some laughter!

hi dixie and all hens,

i had guarded hopes for today also. i did a little tidying, then finally decided to put on my version of hoppin john. it's ready, but i've been tasting for a couple of hours. maybe i can make cornbread tomorrow.

i could use a laugh, too.

i will read janie's post.

so many having a rough time. my dad is running a fever again even on antibiotics. heaven help us!

Accomplished just about nothing today. Somedays that is how it goes.

Dixie - I hope you feel better soon.

I'm getting ready to climb in bed...8:35 is late for me! I've been chatting with my childhood friend who lives in NC. We met at the age of 10 and were instant BFFs. 44 years later and nothing has changed in that regard!

The nerve pain in my left leg has been extremely bothersome today and now my meds are starting to make me feel sick. Definitely time to lie down.

Dixie I hope you are feeling better tomorrow. Don't like my friends to have so much pain. I am with you though in that pain. I believe mine is weather related.

Serenity blackeyed peas with or without cornbread sounds great. Sure don't like to hear your dad is running a temp. After the surgery he had. He will be in my prayers.

Cherry I love my old friends that I can talk to and just pick up where we left off. I have on in KC,MO. We hadn't talked in years, reconnected and met for dinner in KC. It was like we had never been apart.

The only thing I accomplished today was cleaning the floors and making my bed. One of my younger friends brought by some art supplies for Kylie and Kegan to do handprints on construction paper. When you put the thumbs and index fingers together it shapes a heart. Will try to take a picture to give you an idea. I am mounting and framing them so they can give them to their dad for Valentines day. My friend teaches four year olds and they did it in their classroom.

Janie I am praying for your little grandson. Hope you are feeling better also.
