I slept from 9:00 until 10:30 and then was wide awake. I've been up for an hour and still not feeling sleepy.

My doc agreed to a week of Prednisone in hopes of knocking this crazy ass pain down a little. I was so desperate to get started that I took the first dose late in the afternoon instead of waiting until morning. That must be my sleep problem.

Since I can only sit for a minute or less at a time without standing and moving around, it hasn't exactly been a relaxing hour! Almost time to give it another shot...sleep, that is.

Quiet clucks so I don't wake anyone...

cherrie good luck in your sleeping .........i know how bad it can get without sleep and in pain ...........its enough to depress you ...............i didnt leave the light on i was out to lunch .................have a good sleep tell us all about it in the morning........................god bless

1:35 and I still haven't gone back to sleep...I guess that's obvious. Can't find a comfortable position. Apparently, there aren't any left since my other arm is now messed up.

If this continues, it will be time to get up and start preparing for work. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't do any hair in several days. I have just 2 clients today...one time consuming and the other a quick men's cut. I'd prefer to spend the day doing nothing. I have a hard time giving myself permission to take a day off from everything no matter the workload.

One more try and if I don't sleep, I'm giving up! I really don't want to start my pain meds this early since I get 4 doses a day. I'd have to go to bed for the night by mid afternoon!

Hoping the rest of the hens are sleeping...

I gave up trying at 3:30...enough is enough. I have my coffee and it's officially Tuesday!

I will be taking my steroids a little earlier today.

Yep, that's steroids. Even taking them correctly still had me unable to sleep, but the pain relief was sweet.

I notice more energy with the pills but an injection in my shoulder is almost immediate relief . Hope the pills give you relief quickly. I experience the lack of sleep with injection and pills.
