Who do you love..............and what are you doing about it?

I skipped by this question when I first saw it, the second time I read it I stopped and thought about it.
I'm doing a lot of course with my kids, but what about my mom, and the rest of my family? Do I do anything to say I love them? No I don't, I just wait for phone calls or I call them. Is that enough?
O wait.....there's Christmas that comes around once a year....but then again, that's kinda a traditional expected thing. lol
I know for me....the most precious thoughts and gifts are the unexpected ones!
So what can we do to show those we love that we love them in small ways that mean a lot?
Here are some of my ideas, but I want to hear what you think about the question above and then maybe some ideas you have for telling people you love them.
Sending cards in the mail......it's so sweet to get a card or note in snail mail these days!!!!
Make a desert for your family and make extra to send a small treat to someone you love
have a garden? Send a small basket of veggies
I actually bought some baskets at a yard sale and made some padded cloth bottoms for them, this is what I put my chicken eggs in when I send eggs to neighbors......it just makes for a cute way to present them as a gift and I always get my basket back.
That's all I'm going to add right now....I want to hear your thoughts and ideas:)

I sent "Thinking of You" cards, support cards, and congrat cards for any small achievement. Flowers and chocolates were always a hit. Newspaper cuttings of an article that I thought would be interesting to someone in my family.
I moved away when I was 19 and never moved back. Each of my famly moved to different states so we did not see each other. I guess we sent each other little token gifts occassionaly to say, Hi. I came from a large family it was fun. They are gone now so don't wait to find the perfect gift, remember each day is a gift, make it count. Let family know you are thinking of them.
Home made jellies, homemade soaps, a cute photo. If my flowers are in full bloom I send a picture via text to my daughter saying "Just to start your day off with some beauty".
It is the little things that make a difference. My mom kept every card and newspaper article that I sent her in a shoebox. It was a warm surprise when I found them.
This was not meant as a downer message. I am just saying take advantage of the time you have with your family today. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Celebrate today. -RJ
I even do little things for my boys. Sometimes I surprise them by picking them up from school....very rarely....so that it remains a treat :) Sometimes I surprise them with a nickel cone....remember those? lol, well, we still call it that anyway.:)
Sometimes I pick a bouquet of wild flowers for my MIL....she does a lot for me. Once when it was raining lightly, I went down with an umbrella, she likes to walk, so we went for a walk in the rain....she told me I was a crazy DIL with a smile on her face:) This walking in the rain is always a treat for anyone even just for yourself!

the oldest and the keeper of a lot of old family pictures. I made a private family group on
Facebook where we can have pictures communicate and chat. All this is private. I scanned and put up the old pictures and shared our family history as I know it.

i send photos of my sunsets or my meals to my mother.
i send my pal dave who works a lot silly videos which he loves and i make cartoons of him or things we've done.
i give some neighbors, older men, home-cooked meals.
little things when i can for the people i love and those i just like, too!
i like to compliment people on the bus. you never know who needs a boost...
I used to run to everyone's aid, cook and deliver meals to my best friend's Mom who's almost blind, make crafty sewing gifts...now I feel pretty useless. Everyone is hovering over me since this pain has started to rule my life. All I can do is work a little and then I can't even think because of the pain.
I did make muffins this morning and share with my Parents and Aunt...does that count?
