Morning Hens,
Well I have bad news, my dh had a Dr. Apt. Yesterday and his thyroid was directed and came back cancer. They r doing surgery again in the morning to remove the left side. Then he will have to have some kind of radiation treatment.
It's scary...is it that once cancer is found you have it all over? First his colon now his thyroid?
I was suppose to keep my baby this morning but she is sick and running fever.
Going to be a long rest of the week.
Prayers please.

i'm a bit tense today also having the apt inspection that i may not be here for and the meeting with the nursing home medical staff. i got a good email devotion that may apply to many of us. hoping empathy is ok.

I like the devotion...something to cling to in the days to come for sure.

Serenity good thoughts your way for inspection and meeting. Thank you for posting the devotion. For taking the time to find it in your time of stress in getting ready for today. It is one I am going to save as well.
My neck is achey from injections so I called and changed my lab work for my Friday physical until tomorrow.
Glad I did. Needed a one day break from needles. I am resting and looking forward to feel better tomorrow.

the meeting went very well today...better than expected actually. thanks so much for all your prayers and positive thoughts in the midst of your own troubles. visited dad afterward and he was in the best shape i've seen him in months. it was great to bring our three styles together - i told mother we were like the charlie's angels of nursing care.
linda, i'm still sending prayers for dh and you. i know you're worried. pm me if you want a shoulder. i'm a survivor with two scares (one stage 3) behind me and 10 years clear.
