89FNo energy, just going to do whatever. Sandra, It's hard to move at a certain time in life. You've been in your home forever, at least you'll be able to travel to the beach and enjoy. Oh, we did hear Boris Johnson's tenure ended due to a series of ethics scandals, accusations of dishonesty and a final collapse of government support that forced his recognation. What he didn't do like the...

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

i already took a morning nap. i hate the time changes. i spent all day yesterday prepping and cooking my favorite curry stew. so good, but very time consuming. i'll post a photo
i've been working on my notes for the meeting with the nursing home director. oh boy, do i have a list and photo back-up. so that's my day.
wishes out for all to have a low pain, excellent day!
Dix, Enjoy you day, dont get too worn out!
Seren, thanks for telling me about the back and forward button, will try that if it happens again.
I haven't ruled out having a kitty altogether. : )
Ive been busy, ive cleaned up, hoovered etc, then i went into town and bought some pots for the garden, some other bits and pieces and some paint. The paint is for my sons room, which is now the spare room as he's moved out. Ive been packing up some of his stuff which he is collecting on tuesday.
I know your probably thinking "wow he's only just gone and your painting his room already" Its just my way of dealing with it, making me face up to it and moving on. Of course anytime he wants to come back, he can in a heart beat. We plan to get a sofa bed for in there as i'm sure he will come and stay at christmas, also that means me and DH have a little spare room to sit in, we even thought we put the pc in there.

Give a big squeeze to that little girl, Dix.
That is very healthy empathy to paint that room. I made my sons room into an art studio, but I left up a few posters of his so it looks odd to have Megan Fox and the terminator amongst my art. We adjust as we will.
Time change. I did change my clock, but forgot to adjust the alarm time to work time and wound up coming in late. Oigh.
Hugs to you all.
Sounds like a soup and stew day. Serenity I just bet chick peas are involved in yours. Wishing you the very best on Wednesday's meeting. .
Dixie fun times with little Miss, making lasting memories.
Empathy painting your son's room is moving on. It will gradually seem normal. Takes time.
Enigma would love to hear about Dutch soup. First thought comes to mind is spit pea and ham for some reason. We used to sail on Holland American and I recall that soup. Do tell. I think that is great you left some posters of your son's in your art studio.
I did a little house pick up and dusting. My new idea for dusting is a pair of black dressy gloves I bought at an estate sale. They really pick up the dust. Eccentric that would be me. Bet the gloves are of the fifties era they have little black pearl button. Not elbow length. Wouldn't use anything that dear. The fabric is shiny and possibly of polyester. Whatever it attracts dust.
Good evening wishes to all
hippy
enigma, i'd love to hear about that soup, too.
empathy, i think that it's totally fair of you of to go ahead and paint.
i've done so much reading and writing for dad's meeting i have a twitch in my eye, but i have it down and just have to polish it.
