i'm about to make a few phone calls about this dang mgmt company letting us know at 5pm both elevators would be shut down all day for service/inspection. i dashed out and took a cab when i would have gone by bus even with the cold winds if i'd only known with appropriate notice.
hoping that cherry has power. nyc missed the bad stuff, but it looks like north of there will get dumped on.

Yes i kept hearing about the snow which new york and the north east was going to get, we keep getting told the weather is going to turn extremely cold and snow is on the way, but i was out in the garden this morning sweeping up the leaves and soaking up the winter sun, which was lovely! Just last night i was saying to dh that i wish spring would hurry up as i want to get out in the garden.

Has anyone got a steam cleaner? I bought one of those h20 X5 that you see on the shopping channels. Not used it yet but ive got a feeling once i start, i will clean everything in sight lol

hi empathy, i'm 8 floors up, so i couldn't do it without a sled. i rushed out last night on things i put off yesterday.

nyc got off easy, but boston and northern areas are being hit hard. friends up there have posted photos on FB. several feet. glad you're having a mild one.

my aunt has a steam cleaner and she does love it. it's amazing to see the dirt that comes out of things.

enigma, glad for the pop in. you amaze me with your energy even with a migraine. hope all is going well.

8 floors is a lot of steps to climb! Especially with shopping and those with children in pushchairs and the elderly.
But you must get a wonderful view from your balcony : ) i would love to see a photo of the view you have.

empathy, the view is the saving grace of this apt! i've posted several sunset photos on here. i have a western view of the sky over a large ridge so i can see many weather patterns moving in and also have a slight view of the tennessee river where a few hawks soar on windy days like yesterday.
in my own photos there are more. family, food i cook, and penny are the main subjects :)

hi everyone .........dixe ........it is realy a good thing that you went and checked on those cupcake cakes ...I hope you get them on time ......who is having a birthday .......have lots of fun .........................................................serenity ................you would think they would keep one eleverator running ..not shut dowen them all .dowen .....they realy schould have given you a heads up ...earlyer .....good to here you mised the worst of the bad weather ...you are 8 flours up ....and they shut dowen both elevators .....how tall is the building ....that could of caused a lot of problems .for .older people who had doctors appointments ..that have taking months to get ...because they can't go unp and down that many staries ........................................................enigma ....................very nice to here from you ........................................................empathy ....................very good to here from you to ....I don't think they schould be alowed to shut dowen both elevators at the same time if it is going to be for the hole day .......yes she must get a wounderfull view ............................serenity ........I will go look at your pictures those sunsets sound beautifull .......................................well good night everyone ...sorry I am not here as much as I would like to be ..been having migrains and since I haven't been hardly on here the hole of December because of migrains ..I have been trying to catch up with all my friends ......there schould be a way to say hi to all your friends at the same time ...........you all take very good care of your selves ...I keep you in my prayers ....I am blesed to have you as friends ....hugs ...God bless
