Well how many trick or treaters did you have last night? I always buy candy just in case but we never have any. :(
But just sure as I didn't buy any candy that's when I would have some. Would love to hear about your little goblins.
Washing and cleaning for me today:( wish I was a genie.
Have a good day everyone.

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

i didn't have any. i know there are kids in this building, but they won't knock. i should've put out a halloween here sign. boy, it was nasty out last night, too.rain and howling winds, so i hope the little ones had a place to go like a party....
once i thaw out i'm going to work in my storage closet to get to some crafting supplies. i've missed them and with winter coming i have to ward off cabin fever. also i want to get some more posted on etsy....hopefully a little of each...
wishing all a warm, mellow day!
We had 2 sets in the space of a minute and that was it, just like carly way too much candy left over. I thought being a Friday night there would be more.
I guess i better change my avi next.
we've been out to our local shops this morning and looked around the charity shops, i bought a winters hat !
When we got back i made pumpkin pie out of the pumpkin i bought.
i cant believe how warm its been for this time of year.
take care
mmmmm, real homemade pumpkin pie is the best. so are the roasted seeds if you go to the trouble. good score on the hat!
it's just the opposite here with weather. glad you have some warm weather left!
What you can roast the seeds?? I didn't know that, damn!! I threw them in the bin when i was scraping out the inside to cut out out my scary face. : ( Oh well i know now.
all you do is get the pumpkin strings off in a colander, towel dry the seeds, then layer the seeds on a cookie sheet and put sea salt or whatever spice you like on them for about 20 min in 350F oven. they're crunchy and tasty. i put a little warmer spices on - paprika, cayenne. it's like eating popcorn. now i'm wanting some!
I was also surprised that there were not that many Trick or Treaters as it was a Friday. I only had two groups the whole night and at the end I was giving handfuls of candy in each bag.....and still had some left.
It is so cute that I always get a full size candy bar for the two little boys that lived next door but they still always want to get a candy from the bowl. I think they enjoy that more.....go figure. :-)
Seren, so sorry for your bad weather and I hope you have thawed out and able to work in your storage closet and get some crafting done. I have never done that with pumpkin seeds....didn't even know you could. It is making me want to go out and buy a pumpkin for those tasty seeds.
Dixie, hope you didn't over do with all that washing and cleaning. Where do all those washing and cleaning genies go when you need them??
Hugs to all my wonderful Hens.
