i woke up very early thinking about these meetings and trying to prepare for them - one with my building manager and one with the nursing home staff. it's kind of frustrating to know that no matter how strong my case, my father still won't be taken care of properly and he's in the best facility with the level of care he needs.

going to try to have an easy day myself and just cook a little.

Dix i know what you mean about not having much to say, we all get these quiet periods and times when we dont do much, so not much to say. Then theres time's when i just dont know how to reply.
I think its nice when a hen just pops in and says "Popping in to say hi and leaving hugs", maybe we can learn from those.

Seren, care of the elderly is lacking in this country too, your doing what you can, so i would take comfort in that, otherwise you can make yourself ill with the worry of it all.

Washing, played a game, had lunch and a bit more to my bird house, thats all ive done.

Not much going on here, but have been to busy.
Finally end of grandsons 2nd birthday week. Boy I have been hearing of what do we do for the last month. My daughter, sweet as she is thinks too much. Just have pizza and cake. No it's cake pops, cake, sandwiches from subway and helium balloons galore! I think with parents there will be 40 peps!

Yesterday, with all this going on, hub and I popped up our tent trailer. Mice droppings all over, yuck. Spent the day throwing out things ,bleaching what we could. Think it's ok now, but have to go buy new bedding. A topper mattress for my back and a few other things. What a unwanted chore.

We leave for Yosemite next Sunday. Hub wants to stay a week, me 4 days tops. It's only 3 hours from here.

Well enjoy Sunday. Got to get going and blow up balloons:) :(.

I want to see your bird house, Emp. It is getting clod here, so the quail are out. We feed then scratch on the ground. Love hearing them in the morning.

empathy, i hope you had fun working on the birdhouse and the rest of your day. yes, geriatrics are so underserved and everyone knew that was the way things were headed with longer lives. what's the point without quality of life.


wow, janie, i'm excited for your trip. i haven't seen many national parks. hope you and hubby strike a fair bargain. yuck, sorry you got that surprise, but glad you checked first. hey, you got saved from the last post by sweet musk. i always read the previous days before i post.

i fell asleep watching a movie, so i'm back up. part of my computer problems are resolved and she'll have to come back. i so don't like excessively late people, but once she gets here she's so nice and helpful. i've read so much regarding nursing home regulations, i think i could run the place by now. i really want to have this together for so many reasons....it's for both my parents' relief, my mother never saw me in action in a professional way and i just don't like anyone who can't stand up for themselves being treated improperly.

hope everyone is sleeping peacefully with many sweet dreams. i think i'm headed that way again, thank goodness.
