Morning Hens,
It's a lazy Sunday I hope for everyone. A day of rest.
Empathy Happy Birthday to your son! :)
I just finished a book from the library last night and picked up the second book I checked out and it's the same book...now how did I do that?!!! In a hurry that's how! So now it's Sunday and mon. Is a holiday so they won't be open til tues. I have nothing to read. Hoping I can download something today on overdrive or from amazon.
What do you do on Sundays?

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

He's 21 on the 10th, we just went out and got his present in advance. We also got him a cooking apron (he does do a bit of cooking) that says "Made in 1993, all original parts!" we thought that was funny.
Sundays generally i laze too, altho i still do the laundry, sometimes i will hoover the upstairs to save me doing it all on monday. I will also catch up on things ive recorded on tv and play sims on the pc.
Today i did get my dad to take me to the garden centre where i got what i wanted to finish the bird house. That project has taken me forever. I'm waiting for the roof to dry now! I seem to have a number of projects on the go at the moment!
Hippy, yes my closet is... well... i wouldnt say junk exactly, it has my cd's, some dvd's, books, and vinyl records! Plus all my craft bits and pieces.
hugs
oh dixie, i used to do that all the time with videos. can you download e books from your library? there are some free book if you have the kindle app and search free books. hope you enjoyed a relaxing day.
empathy, have fun finishing the bird house. hope you had a lovely day, too.

Empathy, wishing your son a very Happy Birthday! 21!!! That is a big deal. Good luck on finishing that bird house. Cannot wait to see it!
seren, I love to go and put winter into summer closest and bring back the summer from winter. Rarely winter here.....but it is really fun to wear a sweater now and again.
Much love and hugs to all Hens.
Dix so you checked out the same book twice....hmmmm. I have bought a book I have already read before.
Hope you can find something on Overdrive. I usually just pick five available and check them out. If I don't like first, I move to next and so on and so fourth. I also create a wish list for rainy days to fall back on. These are books I might want to try but not ready. Then there are the books I want and have to be on wait list for. They notify me by gmail. I love ebooks from my library. Before iPad I always checked books out from library.
Carly I think there is an app for a Kindle as well that allows you to check out e books from your library if you have a card.
Serenity sounds like you are enjoying mom's new digs. Hope you are pacing and leg is doing okay.
Empathy my new $27 bookshelf has some of the items you listed on the shelves.
It fit beautifully at the back of my not so big, little walk-in closet.
My son's birthdays 9-12 and 9-17. The youngest 9-12. I remember standing in line at grocery with labor pains to pay for ingredients for birthday cake for oldest. Cake was never baked.
Oldest had a cake from local bakery. I felt so guilty. Nice to get the gift early.
I did same and couldn't keep it , just had to give it to him. Can't keep a secret, me.
Wishing your son a happy 21st. Love the apron idea.
Carly I like the switch of seasons on clothes as well. Our climates are close.
We are a little cooler and according to oldest son in for hard winter. I hope not.
I am saving my big closet clean for when I switch season with my clothes.
My favorite part of fall and winter is my cowboy boots and other boots. Uggs and cozy things inside.
Crazy to think of right now as our high will be low 90's.
Wishing all a good Monday.
