Hi dix and hens that follow

Ive spent the afternoon having a go at my bird house. I had made the shell it, was a case of decorating it. If you can imagine i wanted it to look like a log cabin. I cut down a small fir tree in a garden a while ago and i saved all the best branches, an inch diameter and less. Ive had fun and games trying to work out the best way to attach said branches to the shell of the bird house! I tried wood glue, and i tried pinning them, but it just didnt work out, so its back to the drawing plans!

Hamburger and fries sounds good, i just had a chicken sandwhich for my lunch, not sure what to have for supper.

Kim it sounds like you have a plan. I like the idea of a burger and fries. Sounds yummy.

Empathy like the bird house idea. Maybe the branches have some dampness. If you have a hairdryer
you could try to dry it out a bit. Not sure what material you are using for the shell.

Dixie, I wish you didn't feel over looked (not sure if those were the words you used) from Dh's comment. Maybe he knew how much pain you have and was giving you some time to rest. I would have been more than happy to stay home. lol.

Burgers and fries sound yummy. I always loved a good burger.

Hi hippy, I hope you are doing OK.

I didn't get a lot done today. I folded laundry and watered my plants. I made a revision to the drawings of the house that Dh is trying to draw on his own and it's driving me crazy. When I came up with this change he was so surprised that he didn't think about it. He actually told me it was a great idea. I keep telling him that we need to talk first and draw later. I can't tell you how many plans we have worked on together for every house. But he seems to want to do it this way first. Usually the plans come from someone who does it for a living. But now with the internet anyone can do anything. DANG THAT INTERNET!

A friend gave us some fresh okra and Dh loves it; so I cooked it tonight and he had backeye peas with jalapeno sausage in them. And also the huge salad he has every night. He was so excited about it that it was almost funny.

Empathy do you have a hot glue gun? Have you tried that on your bird house? I need a birdhouse to put in my front yard. I'm afraid a log cabin one would not show up though as I have too much shade. I would have to have something bright. Anyway, I hope you get it figured out and put together.

Hippy you are kind of quiet, how is your weekend going?

Carly men are so darn stubborn and aggravating...they are a hopeless cause!!! Lol let him do it the hard way first then you can come in to the rescue:).
Did you fry the okra? I love it fried! And I love black eyed peas! I can understand your dh's excitement :)
