dixie, it seemed like it but i'd never heard of the sprays, just sachets. a store duck will taste a lot different from a wild one. light a fire under your son, but make sure he dresses it, too. i really like it, but it's a lot of trouble. how was yesterday for you? we must have had 6 thunderstorms and i could see and feel them rolling in. right now you wouldn't know if it's 8 am or pm. when is dh traveling again and how is he doing?

i'm hoping to accomplish two big things today and both have multiple steps which is what always gets me - get through 2 of the 4 steps and just give out, so it looks like a tornado blew through. at least i did plenty of cooking this weekend, so i have plenty to go to without messing up my whole, tiny kitchen.

i hope your mother's surgery goes well and that it reduces her pain a lot.

Duck was disappointing, whether we cooked it wrong, i dont know, dry and stringy. The best duck i ever had was in a Chinese restaurant where it was all shredded up and you had these little wraps and plum sauce.
Just had to run out and get my washing off the line, its absolutely chucking it down!
By the way, my experiment cake with toffee chews was really nice : )
I just did the usual hoovering up and mopping floors today.
Waiting for a garden table to be delivered!

empathy, i was lucky to be warned low and very slow and lots of basting. i think it is easier to just get it at the chinese place.

sorry about your wash. it's so dreary here you can't tell if it's day or evening.

Well not much new here. Going to start our week in the hundreds today. I have to close up house bu 9 am to keep it cooler. It really helps.

Had a busy babysitting weekend. Between the other grandma and me we watch the two boys from Friday afternoon to Sunday. Had to take them to a birthday party Saturday. We got. " the best grandma's" from all my daughters friends. She is so lucky!

I buy my sheet and room spray. How do you make it, dixe. I like the lavender, but willing to try othe.

I, don't know duck, but my husband use to get duck breast. It was tender and good with this sauce he made. I bought one in the store and it was so fatty.

Still no sign of table at 4.15 pm, sighs...
we thought it would be nice to occasionally have our evening meal out on the patio, English weather permitting of course!
Cake was a make up recipe.
