dixie, praying all goes well with brother's surgery. so nice that you'll be there when he wakes up. i worked in so many hospitals - some had great cafeterias and others not so much, so i hope you get a good breakfast for less than a fortune.

my arm feels so much better today after covering it in salonpas patches and an athletic bandage. i've already had a visit from a neighbor for some computer help, so i'm going to rest and hopefully get into the kitchen with new patches on. i'd like to ask for continued thoughts and prayers for my parents. my dad's decline is accelerating and it's tearing my mother up. he gets so mean and accusatory b/c he can't recall even the day before when she took him out for a whole day all by herself. thanks friends in advance.

Work as usual today. Get my hair cut and teeth done later...nothing big. I fell asleep last night at 7 and didn't wake until the alarm. I must have been tired!

enigma, i'm glad you got such a long sleep. i'm sure you did need it. mental energy depletes our bodies, too. enjoy getting your hair cut and teeth done (is that cleaned or whitened or don't answer).

empathy, i love that band. i hope you don't have to wait too long for an appt.

i've had a few long convos with my mother. despite my professional experience in the field of SW and good reputation, she still sees me as a child and won't let me intervene. then she calls back to tell me the visiting dr took my dad off a major medication. i'm so mad i could spit. he has many specialists and that guy does not have the authority to do that. grrrrrr. i'll compose a letter and let her look at it.
had to get that off my chest.

Seren, that sounds pretty serious. Not to make light of it but you know your Mom will alway's see you as a child. Been there. I am sooo sorry what you are going through...again.....been there. One doc called the family in for last Rites. I traveled the 5 hours with a black dress not nowing what the hell was going on. God bless that my Dad lived for another year. Thanks for Mom And I despise the fact that the dr didn't think he would live at all. Please be ware of a small time doc. And we are all here for you to get that off your chest.
