Morning Hens,
Well took David in for glasses. They had a new Dr. So he asked this Dr. If he could try contacts again. The last Dr. Told him his blinking reflex was too strong to wear contacts. This Dr. Just shook his head and said well that's interesting. So guess what! David is wearing contacts! He is super excited!! Yesterday he couldn't get them on but this morning I told him to try and if he couldn't after an hour I would put them in for him and he could try again this afternoon but he got them on his own!!:) the Dr. Said if he got them in by himself then he would order them for him.:) so he will be wearing contacts. I have never seen a kid so happy lol.
I am making yo yo flowers...my new fun thing. I posted a pic of the fabric journal I finished btw in the photo section in the Hen House. I'll post a pic of the yoyo flower too. Don't know what I am going to do with them.
There's you a project for K Hippy...put her to making yoyo flowers. They are super easy. She could decorate pillows, purses ect....make bracelets out of them:)

wow, that's great for david. putting your finger in your eye is hard to get used to, so i'm glad he managed on his own! i had that blinking issue, too. he may just need to carry saline drops to use during the day.
i'll check out your journal and i want to see the yoyo flowers. i've never heard of those.
i've already been downtown. of course, i forgot one of the main things yesterday coming home from the dr - cat food! i also picked up a half of a watermelon i can't wait to sink my teeth into. i'm not sure what i'll get done today after waking up at 4. i'd like to have more energy to get into the kitchen and cook a good country dinner. i have turnip green and corn in the husk...hoping after a cool rest i can do that and more.

Ive been to town also and got a couple of dvds, from the charity shop, one of which is an old Dracula film with Vincent price. I used to like watching the Dracula films when i was a teen.
Not done much this afternoon, not felt like it, i did re-pot a Lupin and have a tidy in my garden shed, but not got round to painting my bike yet.

Dix, yea for David. I have never heard of a too strong blinking reflex for contacts. But I don't wear them so maybe I wouldn't know. DH wears contact's some of the time but lately just wearing glasses.
