What's up in your world today? Not much going on here.
Henny Penny is finally taking care of her chicks. After I put them in the nest over night with her that seemed to do the trick...she got off the nest and is mothering them:) I will try to get a picture today.

how was your Memorial Day?
mine was pretty mellow. i didn't buy hamburger after all, but i had slaw, corn cooked in the husk, and baked sweet potatoes. other than that i just piddled around the house with a visit from my neighbor, took a walk and watched the boats on the river from my balcony.
i have more corn and my neighbor made black beans, so i'm going to put those in a salad and make something else, but i can't decide. i think i'm a food hoarder :) since i can't get to shops as easily or often as i could in nyc, i keep a lot in stock.
Dix, good to hear : ) you mentioned you saw piranha the other day, was that the old one or the new movie?
I finally saw Gravity, not sure what i thought of that.
seren, have you tried roast ed sweet potatoes, nice : ) Roasted carrots are good too!

there is a factory between my building and the river, but i try to "photoshop" it out of my mind and my flowers provide a nice obstruction in the summer :)

Dixie, that must be great to watch the mother tending to her chicks. I hope you can post picture. I'd never see that here in the big city, but love to see pictures of it.
Serenity, Sweet potatoes, mmm I could eat those daily . I'm lucky that I have stores all around me, but you come up with some great recipes and you're always sharing with your neighbors. I hope they know how lucky the are to have you there

ItIt's freezing here in Boston. Cloudy, cool & 50 degrees with a northeast wind. Yesterday was cloudy, but 80 so a bit warme, but it rained quite a bit. I had physical therapy today, but he iisn't doing any more until after I see the dr. next week. I did laundry for the rest of the afternoon and now I'm going to workout and get the kinks out. I hope everyone has a great night.
