Morning Hens,
Well dh will definitely be home today. Thank goodness!! Man is driving me insanely crazy!
Got to get my car cleaned out today...I think my youngest is going to do it. Then I am going to take out the back seat. I have a van. Then I am going to put in a twin size mattress for my dh to lay down on for the ride home on from Memphis. It's a 3 hour ride. I just don't think he is going to be able to stand sitting for that long. In fact they didn't talk about when he would be comfortable sitting again. The only place I have to put my van seat is the barn, I sure hope the mice don't get in it in a two week period.!
Has anyone ever had to stay over night at a hospital before? I have but I was always able to come home and shower. This time I won't be able to come home and I am wondering if they will let me use the shower in my dh's room. And if I should take my own towels and washcloths. I can't afford to get a hotel. And it's too far too run home.
Well as you can see, my day as usual, is going to be spent worrying.

that is so kind of you to figure out how to make dh so comfy. i think walgreen's carries eucalyptus oil in the herbal section. if you douse a few cottonballs and leave under and on the seat it should keep the mice away from it.
my mother did that when my dad was in the hospital. she took her own towels and shower shoes. she just told the staff first, so they wouldn't barge in. they were very accommodating. i hope all goes well.
i'm making bigger dents in purging and organizing and discovering family treasures i'd rather have out to see. in transferring things out of a waterlogged box i found a fiesta ware water pitcher that now sits on top of my kitchen cabinet with granny's mixing bowls. there was one spot just waiting for it. i also found a blue mason jar i put on my breakfast bar.
so that continues. getting rid of the garbage to appreciate the treasures.
Serenity...it sounds like you've discovered a way to find a bit of joy amidst the mess you're dealing with!
I haven't been around much because I'm dealing with some awful pain from a rib or ribs that moved out of place. I had found it very painful to lie back and have any pressure across my upper back for a few days and then Thursday morning I could barely sit up. The pain in the upper left side of my ribcage took my breath away. I got an emergency appointment with the chiropractor I used to see and he confirmed what I suspected.
He was gentle, but it felt like I was going to pass out from the pain. It's still bad...he said my thoracic spine was completely stuck and the muscles all around my ribcage were bruised. It's not an overnight fix and I have another appointment tomorrow afternoon. I'll be glad when it doesn't hurt to lie down or take a breath!

Cherry so sorry your in so much pain...sounds awful!! So the chiro can set things straight? I feel so bad for you cherry...one thing after another isn't it. Big hugs
