I agree my cousin has a husband, that thinks he funny, but, he's gross.

dix, i know what you mean. you can hide a single post by going to the right of it. it really bothers me to see those b/c my family are on my friends list and i don't want them to see that kind of thing.

It's become something I only use because I have a few clients who tend to make or change appointments through facebook. Other than that, I find it way too irritating.

Dix you can block someone without unfriendlng them. Their posts just will not show up on your account. I think they stay on your friend list. I also do the weed out if there is an offensive post I delete it. It is harder now with the new format because you don't see everyone's post unless they are on one of your designated groups. Example is family or special friends or a specific group. Also you can go to that person and unsubscribe. When you do that their posts don't show up on your newsfeed.

Us I knew you could do that Linda but what's the sense in having them on your friend list if your not going to get their posts. I'd just as soon delete them all together.

I never did get into the whole facebook thing, glad i didnt ever join. If anyone writes about me on there i have no clue, ignorance is bliss : )

people now a days dont seam to have a filter when it comes to talking on face book or on the tex i find they say things that they would never say to someone in person or at least not in the way they say it there ...........i dont delite my family but if it is someone i dont know that happenes to get on there i delite them .............

I have not joined Facebook and I don't think I will. But it seems like I am missing out on alot......according to my friends and family.

I just don't feel the need to be that.........INTOUCH........with EVERYONE and I am doing by best to keep up with my favorite Hen's. :-}

This may be rude but I want to delete some DS friends that I've not heard from.........but I just cannot do it. I think it's hurtful to be deleted. But truth be told......they would probably never notice. lol.

Carly I agree I have deleted people from my DS. They never even noticed. I want real friends on here and on FB. I keep my profile on FB private unless your a close friend or family. FB is the way I keep up with my daughter. She's the only reason I got on FB. I think there's a lot of junk on facebook.

I used to really enjoy myspace. I met alot of nice people on myspace.

dixie, i forgot to mention that the very same day you posted this, i was attacked by an old friend on FB for sharing something positive. another friend supported me, but there was a number of comments. i deleted all the comments (his and mine). i have friends all over the country and really like FB to stay in touch and have some good conversations and get some good info...i'm not going to delete him, but he can take it or leave. i actually told him to unfriend me if he couldn't take something positive....

rawforbeauty, positivity garden, care2, plus NYC news, louise hay, get stronger, girlfriend...are some of the general sites i like b/c of their positive posts.

I'll check some of those sites out serenity. I can't believe your friend didn't like your posts! Geeesh!

I have found that if you do FB, you have to be careful what you comment on and who you do be-friend.

I am on there and my husband is from Equador, and this way is a cheap way to keep a communication going with that country, or it would cost a fortune.

I also so not comment on religion or politics.

The original reason I joined fb was we were living 3K miles away from family. It was a great way to send a little message, see pictures and updates. Now, I am living back in our home state and rarely post or read. It is too upsetting for me in the realization how diametrically opposed I am to some of the views. I honor opinions but not vulgarity or humiliation at the expense of anyone. There is a group of my high school class where we do keep in touch and this is after 45 years! Many of us had parents that went to school together so there is a faint fabric running through. Some us still have our parents living in their 80's-90/s and share concerns.

i have delitted some ds frends but they have never spoke to me at all and never even rote in there jurnals for so long and i was sending them hugs and mesages with no answers it took me a very long time to be able to deleat them it was not easey ...........it still botheres me and i wasent counting on that ..............i would like frends that want to talk or that i can just give support a huge that will make a diferance like so maney hugs have made a diferance to me ................i go on face book to see what my and my husbands family are doing and to get some of there pictures .................i am not on that often ................i still have one person that i have not deleated and that is the first person i talked to in here ds .............i just cant seam do deleat her we talked for a while i still have her posts and than she moved and i got one more post and i havent heard from her since ....................god bless
