That's a very good question.
I guess we just can't accept not being perfect.
If I could be ok with all my imperfections and mistakes, I would be pretty content with life.

i think that if our self-esteem is tied up in every action, then a mistake can really hurt it, but if we've been taught a mistake is a lesson and not belittled for them, we're able to take it in and keep trying.
mentally i comprehend that, but i still wish i had more self-esteem!

Maybe we are afraid to make mistakes because "learning" can be extremely painful. Like the learning that results from putting your hand in a fire...

I just read an article titled "New Adventures, New Risks, New You! One of the "life-changing rules" in this article is to allow yourself to take chances on feeling stupid/making mistakes because we learn from them. It can also give you opportunities to laugh at yourself. So, put some spice in your life!

I don't think I would have learned anything without my mistakes. I must have some dysfundtional learning disorder! lol
