Hello My lovlies
Sorry for my absence. Montreal was a whirlwind and once I returned, I had madness at work to catch up with. I randomly read some of the posts and all seems well with you guys.
My trip....what an eyeopener. Drove 3 days to Lake Huron and met Mark's brother who thought I was his girlfriend and spoke openly about past family issues. Wound up resolving my own issues because Mark's father was a violent SOB and I was in the same kind of marriage that I suffered through. I realized that I was holding all this responsibility and guilt and Mark and I had long talks and it was healing to us both. When I came home I had a long talk with my oldest son because we have issues with this and it was very healing. My son and I are doing much better now.
Montreal was a blast. I got dressed up crazy and partied non stop. Met people from all over the world and made some friends. Came home exhausted and wondered if that really happened.
Got to work and had a yearly review. Remember that kind gesture where they gave me 5K for my medical expenses because the company insurance was so horrible? Well, I didn't get a raise because of that. They giveth and taketh away. Feeling a little discriminated against.

will bleed into our own. Best of all is healing between you and your son. I don't agree with your employer. They should have been up front with you. I hope they offered the same to you this year.
The air smells like rain. I am getting ready to bake a Birthday cake for our oldest son. It is called "Better Than Sex Cake". One those rich yummy loaded with calories cakes. Three steps. First bake cake, second poke holes in cake when it comes from oven and fill holes with 6oz of Eagle Brand and 6oz of Carmel ice cream topping. Third and last step is after cake is chilled cover with 1 container of Cool whip and garnish with broken pieces of Heath bars. How does that sound???

Hippy the cake sounds yummy. I have heard of it but never had it. Tell son Happy Birthday from me.
I've been lazy today....done nothing except go to town and purchase contacts for David and get them sent off to him.
Dh will be home late tonight. Hoping he will watch granddaughter some tomorrow. I enjoyed the day off and could use another one:)
