your road trip sounds very exciting. there will be so many interesting sights to see.
and very glad that you could help your dad, too.
saturday with dad took a lot out of me although it was mostly nice and my sleep has been poor and that just increases pain. mother and i were searching for apts and thought we'd seen a good one, but after we saw it today it wasn't all we'd thought, so still looking...
craving some cooler temps and good sleep!
hoping others are ok. bit hugs!
Did manage to get a pot of dumplings made to go with the roasted chicken I did on Sunday. I seem to cook in stages these days.
Got insurance sorted and a clear understanding of how they work with Medicare. In December I will be 65. Scary is putting it mildly. Our retiree insurance will pay when Medicare doesn't same as always. We will still have deductible and co-insurance but it will cover things Medicare doesn't and when we don't meet deductible with Medicare for doc visit we will just have co pay instead of full visit charge. My husband thought it would only cover the things Medicare covered. That scared me because there are a lot of things they don't cover and some they have contracted providers with. We have really good insurance and I didn't want to loose benefits.
Serenity I am sorry you are loosing sleep. I know you have lots on your mind and it is hard to sort it with little sleep. I am glad your visit with dad went okay. Hope the apartment hunting ends up with a place that is right for you and somewhere that will give you peace of mind.
Enigma sounds like you had a nice time until your migraine took over. Even then you had a knight in shining armor to your rescue. Your art is consuming you again and that is good. A trip to Montreal is something to be excited about, I wonder if they will still have the fireworks displays when you are there on the waters edge.
We went down for it when we were there and it is beautiful. I loved the old big beautiful buildings against some of the new modern. Also walking down from hotel under to subway/rail to go to the shops and French as a second language. I had 8 years study of the language.
Musk if you are reading I am keeping you close to my heart. This year had some real stress and sadness for you as you have faced your husbands serious health and his treatment and now to face your father's terminal illness i understand why you would be sick with anxiety. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Carly are you building closer to the ranch? I can't imagine going through that process once again. You are a
Saint. Please don't let it get you down too much. We are here for you. Come often.
Kim I am so happy you made it home ok and the car didn't overheat. Bet it was scary. That is what my sister's same model did when we all drove to the Oregon coast from Seattle. We made it though. I can't remember if we had to see a mechanic or if she let it cool down and put water in the radiator. I still love that old gal of yours. She rides like a dream.
Cindi I hope your pain starts giving you a break. It can't be an easy task to break up a house of all those years
as your father in-law moves to assisted living. An auction or an estate sale? So much work. He sounds a lovely man.
Well wishing all sweet dreams including our dear Empathy.
hippy
