Good Morning ladies
Did you set your clocks?!
I had an amazing, simple amazing time on Saturday. I was invited to women's aviation event and got a free ride on a 1942 Canadian two seater Cesna plane and OMG what a thrill. She even let me steer for a while. I feel so blessed to have these opportunities presented to me.
The day was so beautiful that I stopped at the beach for 3 hours and just unwound. The sun was out and the Pacific Ocean was sparkly beautiful. Peter showed up with his mother and then she left and we had the rest of the afternoon together. Peter usually has clients but he's been feeling burnt out so he cancelled that day so it was just him and I on a saturday and we went to his place and he made creative smoothies and we laughed and just chatted and did some chores and just hung out and had a wonderful time. The day was just magical from start to finish. I can't beleive I'm the same person that was so unhappy and feeling so locked under a few years ago.
What has changed.....I got rid of a bad job, a bad relationship, a bad attitude. I started to be true to myself and stopped taking other peoples crap. I started speaking positive, beleiving in myself and others, and I walk through every open door, even if I don't understand it. I commit to living in the moment.
Thanks for witnessing my journey thus far.
Blessings to you all and deep hugs.

89FNo energy, just going to do whatever. Sandra, It's hard to move at a certain time in life. You've been in your home forever, at least you'll be able to travel to the beach and enjoy. Oh, we did hear Boris Johnson's tenure ended due to a series of ethics scandals, accusations of dishonesty and a final collapse of government support that forced his recognation. What he didn't do like the...

88FWhat I do like is early morning clouds and then they disappear and the sun comes out. That was it's cooler in the morning. I'm sitting here looking out the window at the hummingbird with the river and dike as a back drop. It's hard to invision ever leaving but I'm also a realist with aging, especially when the luncheon we had with thirty former classmates on Monday. Sandra, we get news of...

You deserve a great life and to believe in you!

janie, hope you had a good night and will join in later to share your day.
yesterday i had a facetime call with a very good friend in nyc. we talked as she got ready, walked the streets of my old neighborhood and went through trader joe's. we can chat for hours after 15 years. made me a bit homesick, but it was fun hanging out with her. i made a pizza for dinner and it turned out just as i wanted...yummy...sauteed onions and mushrooms and black olives. it was a really good day.
today is going to be fairly warm, so i think i'll go sit in the little park across the street and feed some birds and squirrels and enjoy that little piece of nature, then make something else with the rest of the mushrooms and onions and red pepper. i'll figure that out later.
mother and i have a meeting with the director of the nursing home this wednesday, so i want to get my notes ready for that. it was a job to convince him we would only meet with him alone, but we have issues with most of the staff - stealing, lying, etc. and i know from an inside source they have alliances. just want to be on my game and totally prepared for that, but today is going to be mellow.
wishing all a lovely, mellow sunday!
Start again...
But brief, just in case!

I put Ruby in the hands of God. I said "look God, i dont know what to do, should i take Ruby in and throw caution to the wind or is this wrong for me at this time?...Please decide for me and let me know..
The next day i bought up the subject of Ruby with my son, he told me that his girlfriend had found someone else to have Ruby, so i took that as Gods answer. Maybe the other person will benefit more from having Ruby than i will at his time, people and animals come into our lives for all sorts of reasons, thats what i believe.
hugs
i'm glad ruby found a new home. i agree with the way you handled it. turning it over assures you of a good outcome. maybe you'll find a kitty who's meant to be with you.
i decided on the high energy dish and have to take a break from standing. when i went out they had the leaf blowers going so no little critters were coming out. still beautiful out!
