Hello, friends! I heard from my kids for Mothers Day either by snail mail or text or email. But I was home alone. I prefer it that way. In the past, they brought me hanging baskets and I find that I can no longer care for them and so last year I requested NO MORE FLOWERS. I have 3 large planters out in front that the gardener takes care of, that is good enough for me. I have an entire wall of windows that look out over the slough in back and the slough is in full bloom right now with yellow "Iris like" flowers, The wild blackberries on the opposite bank are also in bloom -- massive white flowers. Lots of hummingbirds!

KK you painted a beautiful pic right then. I can almost smell it here. Relaxing to. Nice glass of iced tea and sit on patio. I wld give anything to be able to have that kind of pleasure in my life for awhile. Sounds real nice.

Yes, yes, I live in a lovely area, very private and "quiet". I feel bad because I can no longer care for the beautiful flowers that I am so "famous" for, My balance is so bad that it is a chore just to take the garbage out! My youngest son was here all afternoon yesterday, we went out for Thai food which is just up Ocean Beach Highway from here. Very good! He lives about 50 miles away but it is straight freeway most of the way. He has crippling Ankylosing Spondilytis and no longer works so he has free time on his hands. His spine is fully fused. My other 2 sons are also retired but I never see them!

I have no idea what that is but sounds painful. I wish we cld get in car and come visit you and your peaceful surroundings.
