tv dinner type things that
you can usually get for a
little over a buck...if you
like them...they have corn
and a brownie included.
And Leanna, there is no way I could have eaten more than 2 pieces of the pizza tonight--OH and it was SOOOOOO GOOOOOODDD!!!
- actually one of my favorite "I don't feel like cooking" meals does require a little bit of leftover. Since I eat a lot of protein (to support the weight training) I cook a lot of chicken breast. BJs sells it by the 12-pack, it's actually 6 individual packets of two. Once a month I buy as many 12-packs as I can afford and freeze them. I cook them by the dozen (but that's because I really am eating chicken 4 out of 5 or 6 meals daily).
BUT what that means is it's pretty easy to pick up a pre-made or buffet salad at one of the larger grocery stores and slice up some cold cooked chicken on it for a quick and complete meal. George will even eat that if I buy the salad dressing he likes (blue cheese - ugh).
Oh, well, I just really hated throwing that food away. By the grace of the Goddess, I saved my little chest freezer with a 1950's generator which would run one thing. I also did not have a great garden last year because of a severe drought in Ohio...
At least, I feel like I'm making a stride in the right direction by keeping frozen pizza in the house...
I guess there's always the alternative of having the Pizza Place on speed dial, but if you live in a remote rural area then that might not be very practical either...
Last time I visited my parents (rural area) I had stopped in a their local WalMart (aka giant store) and bought a giant sub which they sliced up and had two meals apiece from. Not exactly a frozen pizza in the house idea, but definitely a no-cook option.
I'll keep thinking about this...
I HAVE FROZEN PIZZA AS A BACK UP TOO, WALMART SELLS THEM FOR 4.88, OR SOMETIMES YOU CAN FIND COUPONS, BUT I KEEP 4-5 DIFFERENT ONES IN THE FREEZER...THEY ARE A QUICK GO TO WHEN NEEDED...BOYS LOVE THEM TOO...THEY MAKE THEM ABOUT 2 IN THE MORNING ON WEEKENDS..SO TOO HAVE A BACK UP...LOL
THATS WHAT I MEANT....I HAVE DIGIORNOS TOO....GOOD BACK UP AND UEAH, PRETTY CHEAP!
Hate to tell Mr. Poopy Pants, the soup I made tonight will be tomorrow's dinner as well... Since deer hunting has become too much work for HIM, cooking a fresh meal every night is too much work for me! Chickadeedeedee has it right: limestone, a shotgun, and a big hole behind the barn... ROTFLMAO!!!
