So true, Linda! I'm glad we have this site to share our stories, vent, and get such positive support.

The lack of sunlight in the winter has a tendency to bring us down. For those struggling... it sure doesn't help. Thank you PAPA for having this site where we can all share anything.... laughter or tears... and help hold each other up when we need it. And thank you to all the members who share much needed kind words of support and strength.

It helps so much to know that our friends here are not only listening to what we say but are actually hearing us. Without each other life would be a much sadder and emptier place. Thank you for posting LJ.

I was so busy yesterday and did not get a chance to reply to your other post. I hate that many ppl are mean to us nice folk. We seem to be their main target and take great pleasure in hurting us. I'm so sorry you were snared into believing your SIL would be different. I'm appauld that your brother would allow her to treat you like that (shame on him).
However, there are plenty of other ppl that will and do treat us better.....they love us becuz we are deserving. To hell with blood and or jerks who marry into blood. I have had the pleasure of meeting papa and mama and I have to tell ya.....they are a breath of fresh air and definitely a "trade up". I've learned through estrangement that healthy relationships are better for me and that letting go of the unhealthy/toxic ones makes more room for the good relationships. I don't care about blood or DNA.....I care more about authenticity, respect, and true love which appears to be few and far between. I'm not concerned about quantity.....I want and deserve quality (and so do all of us....equal opportunity).
