I peek in everyday to see if there is anyone new - Steve is....and what is going on, maybe one day the group might take off or maybe just close it. I miss the old MSN groups, they were active and we had some great discussions. I had over 100 very active members and we were rated in the top ten groups, which for a medical group was good.
But things change, we all move on to better things, we don't have time as we use to for the groups and in all the areas that have groups I notice a trend of fading out since now we have "twitter", face book (which I hear is having problems)vlogs, blogs, etc but hopefully we will all stay in touch for as long as possible
I'm still around, just not on a daily basis. Still struggle with glucose numbers and have been on several meds that I either have a bad reaction to or don't work. My Endo would like me to take short-acting and long acting
insulin. I've been very resistant to doing so. That's about all for me. Thank God for Obama care and now getting medical needs met.
Sorry I haven't been around......lots of medical problems and a bit frustrated. Had ablation procedure for kidney cancer in Dec 2014, the diagnosed with breast cancer 3-27-15 and had mastectomy 4-3-15. Im on the road to recovery, but diabetes makes it slow going. I'm taking lantus at night and novolog during the day. surgery and sickness always makes the sugar readings high.
I have recently stopped using the insulin pump and I have not started a basal yet, I am waiting on Novolin to be delivered I am currently on Novolog as my bolus but I'm having problems keeping my sugar in line just using the Novolog. I feel like I am giving myself too many shots during the day to compensate for the basil I am missing. I had my pump set at two units every 3 hours, then if I ate I would compensate with the bolus. do you have any suggestions as to how I can control my number
